She blushed at him
”And I love when you do that.” he chuckled, lightly caressing her cheek.
" why?" She asked
”Because it's adorable.” he said, nuzzling against her. ”And maybe I’m a little jealous that you can still do that.” he admitted.
" I can do a lot of things you can't" she said
”I know.” he nodded. ”But I can also do a few things that you can't.” he smiled softly.
"yes but I have a beating heart now though I don't need your warmth" she said
”Ouch.” he muttered as the heat left him at those words. ”I know my heart is basically dead… Well, the organ is but that was a bit of a low blow, angel.” he said softly, not smiling.
" sorry "Betty mumbled turning away from him
”It’s alright.” he sighed. ”I just… It's honestly the one thing that I hate most about myself. So I try not to think about it.” he told her.
Betty gently sat up and stood up grabbing a throw blanket off the end of the bed
Lysander sat up and looked at her. ”What are you doing?” he asked gently.
" I'm.gonna go sleep on the couch" she said
”Why? I’m not trying to fight with you.” he told her.
" I'm just gonna go" she said starting to walk away
”Why?” he asked, getting up and walking over to her. ”What’s wrong?”
" because I feel horrible and I think I should leave" she said
He reached out to her and gently placed a hand on her shoulder. ”Betty, you didn't do anything wrong.” he assured. ”I never told you how I felt about my heart being like this. I may not like it but it's part of who I am and I can't change that. It's not your fault.” he said gently.
She nudged off him " Goodnight"
“Don’t shut me out.” he begged. ”Please, what's wrong?”
¨I Think It be better for us If I slept somewhere else¨ she said
“Why?” he asked. ”D-did I do something wrong?”
She shook her head and grabbed her phone
”Then tell me why you think you need to leave.” he said, gently grabbing her hand to prevent her from using her phone. ”Why the woman who once said that she felt safest in my arms doesn't want to fall asleep with me tonight.”
¨Because I don´t feel safe anymore¨ Betty said
He looked at her in mild shock. ”Why not? Betty, you know I would never hurt you. I love you.”
¨The same doesn´t go for me to you¨ she said.
His grip loosened. ”What do you mean? That you're afraid you might hurt me or that you no longer love me?” he asked stunned, afraid and confused of what her answer might be.

He sighed in relief at hearing that. ”And I will always love you, my angel.” he lifted her hand and kissed it. ”I don't want to fight with you.”
