He smiled softly at the gesture and carefully laid down, pulling her on top of him. ”Tired, love?”
She nodded gently
He turned his head slightly to kiss her forehead. ”Get some rest. I'm not going anywhere.” Unless the kids need something…
She nodded again
He smiled at her and gently began running his fingers through her hair.
She quickly fell asleep
He laid still, continuing to play with her hair and maintaining a comfortable warmth for her. It was so easy now, he barely needed to focus on it.
She nuzzled close to him in her sleep
He smiled at her and slowly let his eyes start to close.
Cole and the twins had crawled over next to their parents and had started napping as well.
Laura-Beth wasn't ready for a nap yet, so she climbed out of bed and put on Frozen before rejoining her family.
Betty whimpered
Lysander opened his eyes and gently hugged her, whispering soft assurances in her ear. Occasionally placing light kisses on her face.
She gripped onto him tighly
He gently rubbed soothing circles against her back.
She sniffled
”It’s alright, love. It's alright. I’m here.” he whispered to her.
She shifted her head
He looked down at her to see if she was still asleep or not.
She was asleep and having a nightmare
He kissed her forehead and kept hugging her.
She sniffled again
He continued to hold her, still making soothing motions against her back.
She held him closely
He sighed softly and continued to, hopefully, be comforting.
She let out a soft breath
He smiled a little, taking that to mean that her nightmare was over though he didn't loosen his hold.
She twitched her wolf ears as. She slept
He smiled, chuckling softly, at the movement as he lightly rubbed behind her ears.
Her foot started to shake more like thump
His smile grew at her reaction. ”Ma belle reine des loups.” he whispered.
Betty smiled in her sleep
