Moxiey looked down at her fins, ashamed.
Rhea stood to the side, amiling
Lucinda sighed, shaking her head. "You know what? It's late. Let's all go to sleep and talk about this in the morning," she said. "And Rhea, you're welcome to stay here if you need to, but I suggest you go home if you can tonight."
Her smile dropped “home.” She looked up and gave a fake smile “y-yeah my muh-mom is probably worried.” She said and started swimming back to the kelp forest
"Wait!" Lucinda called, swimming to catch up to Rhea. "Do you not want to go home?"
She smiled wistfully “no I would very much like to go home.”
Lucinda pressed her lips together and backed away a bit. "Well… you are welcome here. Just so you know."
She smiled at her “thank you.” She swam towards the kelp forest

Moxiey curled into a right ball and fell asleep quickly with quiet tears trickling down her face.
Rhea found what she was looking for. She grabbed her shell and held it tightly. She curled in a ball and lay down in the middle of the forest

Moxiey woke up, sitting up with a start. No one else was awake yet, so she got up and swam to the mouth of the cave, looking out into the sea.

River floated at the entrance of her and her sister's cave, stretching her arm and tail out. She gasped happily when she remembered why she had woken up so early, and headed towards the surface.

Mosley saw another mermaid heading for the surface. She glanced once back in her cave and hesitated. She eventually followed the mermaid. Cautiously.
