The dark haired male watched the female. A small smirk appeared on his face. Appeared she might've been slightly confused by his choice of payment. Well, he couldn't really blame her. This modern day era, and suddenly this strange guy appears, setting down something that would've been used in ages past. Hell, the coins looked more like they belonged in a museum or the such.
Either way, the girl seemed to accept the payment. Hey, Marinus wasn't going to complain. He noticed that she was looking closely at him, probably trying to figure out what he was most likely. One of his hands remained in his jacket pockets as his other moved, wrapping around the mug of coffee she had brought him.
He sat in silence for several moments, then finally spoke again, "Curious about what I am madam?"
Marinus paused to take a sip of the hot black liquid. As he finished his sip, his blue eyes shifted towards her. Once again his pupils narrowed into thin slits. This time, he slowly, deliberately allowed his forked tongue to slip out past his lips to be seen as he tested the air.
"Or would you prefer not knowing…little sprite. Granted, I cannot quite tell what kind of sprite you are at the moment, but your scent is unmistakable."

“Man they’re so shady,” Luciana said, glancing at the two men.
"Yeah. The blood doesn't help, either."
“Were you following them?”
"Not the whole time, just when I saw one of them walking in with a body."
“A dead body? What are they, vampires?”
(How can I jump in?)
(Idk, join us edgy folk in the graveyard?)
"I suspect at least one of them is. The other one… he smells different. He's more blatantly aggressive. I don't think he's a vampire."
(We da edgiest edge around.)
“Do they know you were following them?”
(lol, should I?)
(You can if you want lol)
"One of them found me, but I don't think they know they were followed."
“What if they’re organ traffickers?”
"I doubt it. If one's a vampire, then he was probably just in a blood rage."
(i'm taking that as a yes)
Zora walked into the graveyard and watched the people already there with curiosity.
Kanoa sat next to her mother's grave, planting a fresh bought of roses. "I know that you never really loved me. You gave me up to the devil and left to overdose on drugs and alcohol. But you'd come visit every holiday and teach me about tax evasions and get me a new journal. Your carelessness killed you. I never really loved you either. You were just like that one drunk aunt that shows up every Christmas. But, you were my mother. And maybe–" she choked back a sob–"if you had cleaned up your act, we could've rebuilt our relationship." She stood up, her pale skin and white hair making her seem like a ghost. "It's too late for that now."
Kanoa finished planting the seeds, staring at the headstone engraved with just a name and date of birth to death. No loving mother, amazing wife, wonderful person. She had never been one of those anyway.
“Ominous.” Luciana shivered, tugging at the edges of her cloak.
"Vampires need blood to survive, and if they have to kill others to get it, which is usually the case, then so be it. Many vampires don't care about killing, but some do it only if necessary. Not every vampire is full of blood lust, wishing to kill anyone who walks by."
“Yea yeah.”
"They still kinda creep me out though…"
“Exactly.” Luciana sighed.
"Dunno why. I mean, I could protect myself fine, and dragon hide is too thick for them to bite through."
“And I can do stuff.” Luciana said.
"Yeah." Aiya watched the two men curiously. "I just wonder what the other one is…"
“Should we find out?”
"How would we find out? I mean, I doubt he goes around just telling people."
“Well maybe look at his features?”
"Well, he's tall, thin, and covered in blood. That fits quite a few species, surprisingly enough. But since he's not a vampire, and smells animal like, I'd say werewolf or wendigo. Best tread carefully around that one.'
“Neither of them sound good. You’re a smart dragon.”
"Thanks, and I'd agree. Neither are particularly friendly, but werewolves are more common and easier to kill. Although, his scent is a little different than that of a werewolf. Has more human."
“Maybe a werewolf with more human genes?”
