He looked at Delta excitedly. He had gotten someone to help them! “Awesome!” Max cheered, before remembering to be quiet. “Awesome!” He repeated in a whisper-shout.

"Im Griff! Griff Voronin. But…" Griff leaned back in his chair so two legs were off the ground as he scratched his beard. "Vy not just kill the prick? Its not like hes vorth keeping around."
Unsurprisingly, this idea had not occurred to Max. “Kill him?” Max asked in confusion. “I mean yeah he’s an awful person, but if we kill him won’t someone else just take his place or something? Not to mention I don’t like the idea of killing someone…”
"Hm, i might not be able to help. Death is literally my job." Avery muttered, once again fidgeting with his bracelets.
"Even if another takes his place, its at least its von less than before." Griff shrugged his shoulders at looked at Max "dont vorry kid, you dont have to be the von to kill him." He leaned back in his chair even more, balancing precariously on the chairs two back legs. "But if i can convince another, then youll have two more creatures on your team"
"Death is my job and, he is pretty bad. Im going to have to file him in to the fire pits." Avery muttered softly to himself, pulling up a chair to the table.
Max looked at the two of them, the grinned. “Okay!” He said, still looking uncomfortable about the idea of killing someone. He also looked annoyed when Griff called him a kid. He hated being down on in any manner, though he realized Griff probably didn’t mean it like that. “This could work!”
"Fire pits? you mean hell? Yeesh, this guy has got to be pretty nasty then, eh?" Griff looked at Avery with curiousity "The more people ve get, the easier it vill be! And here comes another recruit!" Griff smiled as the cafe's entrance bell rang and in walked a young woman with caramel colored skin and stark white hair. Her big sunglasses covered her eyes as she sauntered into the building. head held high, she made a beeline to the counter to order herself a coffee. "If I'm helping out, i know she vill as vell." said Griff with confidence
"Hell? Is that what mortals are calling it now?" He mummers, puling out a small notebook encased in… is that skin?
Max’s eyes widened at the sight of the notebook nervously, but remained pretty excited about the prospect of helping Delta put Mr.Ferrier in his place. “This is great! We might actually have a chance now!” Max exclaimed. “My big mouth might actually pay off for once,” he added quietly.
"Perhaps." He said, writing on his notebook in a unknown language.
Delta remained quiet, her face a picture of concentration. "What if… I pretend to agree, tell him to release Ana, and then ask why he had to force my hand in the first place, while you guys secretly filmed it?"
Max nodded. “Seems like a good plan,” he agreed, excited.
Just as Griff went to add into the conversation, The woman walked up behind him and placed her hand over his face, forcing Griff to fall backwards in his chair. "I'm sorry if my brother vas being annoying. He doesnt understand that there are people out in the vorld that dont vant to talk to him." Said the woman as she took a seat across from Griff, who groaned as he got back up. "friends," Griff rubbed the back of his head "this is my sister, Alistrov. Ve are both hippogriffs, so ve are able to be your eyes in the sky." Allistrov glared at Griff before giving a slight wave to the group. "Eyes in the sky? What is he talking about?" Alistrov looked to Delta, hoping for an answer to her brothers crazy sentence.
Max spoke up, letting his loud mouth talk before he thought, as per usual. “He’s helping my friend Delta!” He bleated, deciding to maybe let Delta explain her own story this time around. “Oh, and I’m Max, by the way!” He grinned.
"You're letting a nit-vit help you guys out? i'm so sorry." Alistrov chuckled as her brother gave her an obscene hand gesture. she took a large gulp of her coffee and extended her hand to Max "Pleasure to meet you Max." Alistrov smiled sweetly and Griff laughed out loud, causing his sister to promptly kick his shin.
Max shook her hand heartily with a smile. “The pleasures all mine,” he replied politely, though a little overenthusiastically.
"I promise you vont be saying that after you get to kno her" Griff mumbled under his breath. Alistrov moved her sunglasses to the top of her head and shot her brother a nasty glare that actually made him cower somewhat. "Hey! I'm just saying that you can be quite intimidating!" Griff held up his hands in surrender.
Max chuckled at the two of them. “All the same, you two seem pretty cool to me,” he said. “Just the fact that you’re helping us is awesome!” He grinned, his eyes shining.
"Good, we have a sufficient amount of people to work with," Delta mumbled. "Do you know who Anaklusmos is, besides what I've told you about her?"
"Anaklusmos, hmm. Cant find her in my records, she's not scheduled to die soon." He says, flipping through his book.
Delta sighed. "Oh god, thank you so much. She's like a little sister to all of us… I don't know how Pele would react if we lost her." It occurred to her that this man apparently had a book of all creatures scheduled to die, but she shook it off. Eh, save it for later. Right now, we need to focus on saving Ana!
"Thats understandable, the embodiment of chaos is like that for us embodiments."
Max nodded along, pretending to understand what was happening. His vacant look probably gave him away. He knew who Ana was, but as for the Book O’Death, as he was referring to it inside his head, he had no clue.
"Ana….the name does not ring a bell, but if a fellow creature is in trouble, i'll help." Said Alistrov before she took another large gulp of her coffee. "My sister knos a lot of people, theres a chance that she might be able to get just about all of us in. I'll stay outside in the air, just in case anything goes south."
"Hmm, when are we going to put this plan in motion?" Avery asked, shutting his book with a slam. He sips the tea he had gotten earlier, staring questioningly at the others.
"Well, I have to give Mr. Ferrier my final decision tomorrow," Delta said. "I'm a decent actor… I'm sure I can bluff my way out."
Max nodded, taking a sip of his coffee. “So we have today to finish our plan and get everything together and then tomorrow, we do this thing!” Max cheered.
Delta nodded. "Are all of you in?"
"Well in about three hours I have a job." Avery says, putting his black hoodie back over his head. His face quickly flashes between a skull and his regular face.
