Will looks up, clenching his teeth. "You're right…" He whispers. Gently he sets Nico down. "Move." He pushes past people and hurries towards the infected, starting to work.
One on one? (Closed!)
"Now, we need to analyze the data. Where was he when the transformations began? Who was he?" the Doctor barked orders at everyone.
Will collects the says, biting his lio. He couldn't remember. How did he heal the camp? He gives a frustrated groan, throwing an empty bottle of medications. He sobs sliding to his knees. Nico…
"Will, I'm going to need some help over here!" the Doctor said.
Will stumbles to the doctor. "Okay. What do you need?" He asks softly.
"The transformations started six months ago, when the creature, formerly a man, disappeared. And his last log was somewhere around… here!" he said, pointing to a spot on the map. "We need to find out what was there to understand what's happening here." he said.
Will nods, "Let's go." He doesn't hesitate.
"Right, Cargill can you set is up with one of the Snoops? We could travel faster and safer alongside it." the Doctor said. "Sure, you just go get ready for… leaving. Erm, Will, why don't you come with me? I can show you how this all works." Cargill said slowly. The Doctor nodded and went outside, waiting for Will to return. Cargill beckoned Will to follow, and they went around the back I where one of the spider like robots was standing, waiting for orders.
Will follows her, his body tense and shaking. He couldn't get his mind off Nico. He looks at her then at the spider.
"Alright, so this thing is called a Snoop. It's programming is pretty basic, just tell it what to do and it'll do it." Cargill said. "But I wanted to talk to you about something else."
(Oh, I forgot to say, good morning! How are you?)
(Good, and you?)
He looks towards her, "Simple enough… what did you want to talk to me about?" He asks curiously.
(Lovely!) "That Doctor…. when did you meet him?" she asked.
"Not very long ago, perhaps a week or so ago…" He says, looking at the ground. He holds his head. He needed to save Nico. Not answer questions.
"I don't trust him. He gets off on this, didn't you see him? He actually enjoys people when they're in mortal danger." she said, pulling out a gun. "Take this, and don't hesitate to use it on him. I don't trust that man, and you're a smart kid. I don't want to know that it's my fault you got killed." she slapped the gun into Will's hand. "Now go, take the Snoop and figure out what's gone wrong." Cargill said, and walked off.
Will blinks multiple times and glances down at the gun. He bites his lip. He wasn't a killer… but… If the doctor got in his way to try and save Nico he wouldn't hesitate. He nods to her, "Thank you, Cargill… take care of Nico for me… He's very special to me…" He whispers.
"I will, don't worry. Now go." she said, patting him on the back.
He nods and looks towards the snooper. "Take me to the source." he whispers, inserting the information the doctor had given him.
The Doctor walked up to Will. "I see Cargill has shown you the systems, now let's go." he said.
Will nods and follows after him, his mind wandering as he follows after the Doctor. "Will Nico and Alison be alright?" He calls.
"Yes, it won't kill them. Look at this planet, the life that has evolved here, yes? Well, technically, it shouldn't have." he said, cutting through branches. "The planet isn't even in the right orbit for that to have happened. Now, what I'm wondering is, how did evolve? I mean, this planet is impossible!"
Will nods, his eyes glancing around. His eyes widen when he sees something move.
The two come up to a waterfall, where light bounced off the stream at the bottom. Off to the side, there was an entrance to a dark cavern and signs that a few months ago, someone was definitely here.
"So… this is the place?" He asks softly.
"According to the datapad, this is the last place he was before the transformations began. Poor sod. Either way, it is to be assumed that someone was here when the transformations began. "
(I gtg for a sec to grab lunch, brb.)
(Back now!)
(Hiya!)
Will nods and begins to walk around, his eyes searching for anything and everything.
"Now, this cave system is rather interesting. It's been hollowed out, it was never there naturally." the Doctor said. "Years of erosion, however, might give that illusion, but this was made by sentient beings."
