"Just get on." she said this in a very exasperated voice.
One on one. (CLOSED stalk tho)
"I'm getting on."
"Listen, we don't have all night for you to saddle up. This is a matter of life and death."
Kat finally gets onto the horse. "Where are we going?" She asks for the second time.
"Away." Luna said, as of that was obviously a not vague at all answer.
"How long before we return?" She asks, a little sleepily as she wraps her arms around Luna's waist to stay on.
"I don't know." Luna said. Oh great, the princess is clinging to me around the waist. How awkward. she thought.
"Okay," Kat answers, almost asleep. She's woken by Fawkes barking.
As the sun rose, they reached a woodland area. "The forest. Best place to hide these days." she said. "Watch out for outlaws, don't tell them your name if you end up talking to them."
"I need to disguise myself then. They'll recognise me, right?"
"Nah, just hide your face and you'll blend right in
"Yo-your sure about that?"
"I used to live here, of course I'm sure!"
"I didn't know that about you. Although you would've had a life before becoming my bodyguard."
"I'd rather not talk about it." Luna said, handing the princess a dagger.
Kat doesn't take it. Instead she takes her bag and slides off the horse. "I'm gonna change into something else."
"Whoop-dee-doo." Luna said, rolling her eyes.
Kat goes behind a tree and comes out wearing something that is a cross between a riding uniform and armour. In her hand she has a bow and a quiver of arrows is on her back. "Fawkes," She says. "It's gonna be less suspicious if you're not a puppy. Mind growing up?" Fawkes barks and he's suddenly a teenage dog. "Bit more?" He is suddenly an adult dog. "Much better. Don't worry, you can be a puppy when we get my kingdom back." Whenever that will be.
"Not bad. Put this on." Luna said, throwing a cloak at the princess's head.
Kat ties her hair in a plait and then puts the cloak on.
"I'll set up camp, try not to die." Luna said, shuffling into the forest.
"I'll have Fawkes."
"Yeah, a dog. Cute, but you haven't met bandits like these before."
"I don't think you really understand Fawkes' capabilities. He's more than just a dog."
"Listen, princess, your little puppy won't save you when you're being held at daggerpoint by bloodthirsty thieves with nothing to do." she hissed.
"Don't do anything stupid. You have been warned."
"He's more than just a puppy," Kat says. "Fawkes, Blaze." Fawkes obediently bursts into flames. "Brighter." Fawkes burns even brighter. "Diminish," She says finally, and Fawkes goes back to his normal state.
"Good, the puppy glows. A homing beacon. Lovely. I'm pretty sure she can't even use a sword. That's why I gave her the dagger, so she doesn't off her limbs. But even a dagger has it's risks. I'm reconsidering a life of crime at this point." Luna thought, not knowing she actually said all of this out loud in front of the princess.
"I'll have you know that the Head Guard taught me how to use a sword at age 10 in case this happened."
"Hmm. Fight me then." Luna said, drawing her sword.
