Kat lies on the ground. "I'm not resting. It just hurts to move."

"Don't worry. I've got you, love."

"Don't call me that. Only my mother can."

"Who is currently lying in a grave."

"Don't remind me."

"I'm being realistic. Either way, I do love you so I think I'm allowed to call you that." she said. She immediately regretted saying that, how would the princess react? By the moon goddess Alia, why did I say that? she thought.

At first Kat thought nothing, then she replayed what Luna had said in her head. "You what?"

"Nothing. Did I say something, love?" she said. Argh, I did it again!

"Yes, you did. I know you said that you love me. Why are you so embarrassed about that?"

"I said nothing, darling." Luna looked away to hide her blushing. WHY DO I KEEP USING AFFECTIONATE PET NAMES????

"Answer me. Why are you so embarrassed about it?"

"I'm not in love with you, I just like you as a companion and friend." Luna said, thinking to herself You freaking liar!

"That's not what I asked. Stop avoiding the question."

"Shut up." Luna muttered, making a fire.

Kat steals the fire and holds it in her hands. "You do not have the authority to tell me to shut up."

"Yes, obviously a high ranking soldier has no authority to tell a now peasant girl to shut up."

"Tell me now or I go back to my castle and take back my throne."

"Yes, when your uncle will kill you as soon as he sees you." she said, lighting the fire again.

"And my care factor is?"

"Listen, we don't have time for this. Rest."

Kat says nothing, but takes Fawkes and climbs a tree, creating a hammock made of fire.

Luna lies down on the ground, falling into a deep sleep.

"Don't worry Fawkes," Kat whispered. "Everything will be OK." She soon falls into a light sleep.

Luna woke up with a knife at her neck. A masked bandit stood over her, a group of several others already had tied up the princess and were awaiting orders.

Kat tried to mask her fear with anger in her eyes. Which wasn't too hard. She was angry at herself, angry at her uncle, and angry at Luna. She knew she could burn through her binds but didn't want Luna to get hurt. She couldn't say anything due to the gag on her mouth, but she wouldn't have said anything anyway.

Luna was tied up, and the two girls were dragged off into a large settlement of criminals and outcasts.

Kat's eyes had tiny sparks in them, not getting smaller but getting bigger very slowly.
