Eve raised an eyebrow, “Watery fire?”

"I have no idea why the world play came to my mind like that, but yes." He laughed.

“You make no sense sometimes.” Eve sighed and leaned back into the water.

Riley crouched so the water was sitting barely past his shoulders. "I try to make sense but succeed always I do not."

Eve snorted before she giggled, “Mmhm, you are a very unusual person, Riley. I guess that’s what makes you unique.”

"Me? Unique? Nahhhh. Im as normal as they come." He ran a hand through his hair, winking.

Eve blushed, "Well I think you're unique and you can't change me mind."

"And what if I try?" He crossed his arms.

"Nope. I'm too stubbon." She smiled.

"Damn." He snapped his fingers, laughing.

She laughed with him and then sighed contently.

Riley moved over to her, placing a hand on her shoulder. He looked down at her, humming with a grin.

Eve looked up and smiled back.

"Shorty~" Riley cooed, moving his hand to cup her cheek.

Eve pouted a little but leaned into his hand, "I know, I know."

Riley leaned down, lightly kissing her forehead. He stood back upright, not moving his hand from her cheek. "Glad you know~"

Eve flushed, placing her hand atop his, "Kinda hard to forget when you always keep telling me."

"Just making sure." He laughed lightly, brushing his thumb once or twice across her cheek.

She stood slowly, and once she did, Eve wrapped her arms around his neck, "You're insufferable."

"If you say so." Riley laughed lightly, moving his arms around her waist.

Eve giggled, "I do." She moved slightly closer.

Riley ducked his head down a bit. "Why are you so cute?"

Eve shrugged, the slight hint of a blush rising, "I don't know."

"Well you should know, it's you after all." He teased, running one of his hands down the back of her hair.

"Well, somethings are left to mystery." She muttered, resting one hand on his cheek, gently.

Riley closed his eyes halfway, smiling rather softly. "I suppose."

Eve nodded, tangling one hand in his hair as she smiled back, “I suppose so, too.”

Riley stayed silent a moment, debating his next move. "Screw it." He whispered to himself, lowing his head slightly towards Eve. He lightly kissed her lips, pulling back a moment later with a cocky grin.

Eve flushed red, her lips tingling from the light kiss. In a burst of confidence, she returned the kiss with one of her own.

Her action surprised Riley, but by no means was he about to complain. After another moment he returned it, his eyes fluttering half shut.
