"Well then what do you suggest?!" He yells, hissing loudly at the other. His eyes glint, and his pupils become slits.

"I suggest we wait, see what it does."

He raises an eyebrow but shrugs, "Wait, alright. Whatever."

"We aren't waiting for long, I just need to figure out how to hack their systems." Mara said, typing in lines of code on her laptop.

He nods, watching her work. 'I should be home right now… taking care of my little sis…' He thinks silently.

"No, you should be helping out in saving the world, because if you don't your sister will probably die a gruesome and horrific death." Mara said, reading Halo's mind.

He starts, then looks down. "She already is dying." He mutters softly.

"Oh, well then give up on her. If you can't stop her from dying, why not get detached before she dies. No sense in grieving, it's a pointless waste of energy." Mara said.

He looks at her, "Just because she's dying doesn't mean I'm giving up on her!" He shouts angrily. His little sister was the only thing he had left.

"Honestly, attachment is pointless. There's no use for it, it slows you down. Detachment and a focused mind keep you fast, keep you from making idiotic choices."

He glances at her, "So say I took a bullet for you, you'd feel nothing. Wow, that's cold." He shakes his head.

omfg… what if he actually did take a bullet for her?))

"Yes, I would feel nothing. I move on rather quickly."

He chuckles at that, "I'm hurt." He places a hand on his chest in fake pain and bewilderment.

"Don't be. Emotion is useless."

He sighs, "Yeesh. Can't you take a joke?"

"No, I cannot. Joking around me is unwise." Mara told him.

He chuckles, "I'll keep that in mind." He ruffles his wings slightly, brushing his dark brown hair from his face.

"Everything I'm trying won't work." Mara groaned, massaging her temples.

"So hacking is a no go?" he raises his brow. "DId her majesty find something she is unable to do?" he says, smirking a little.

"No, I said everything I'm trying won't work. There are things I haven't tried yet."

"Alright, alright." He shrugs, chuckling a little bit.

Mara glared at him. "Bored. I am incredibly bored. Listen, why don't we go get some coffee and then get back to working on this?"

Halo nods, "I could use some coffee right about now." he says, stretching.

"Alright, pick a cafe. I know a few good ones if that tiny brain of yours can't decide."

Halo glares at the other, then shrugs. "Honestly, I make my own coffee. I haven't been to a cafe in ages." he says, shrugging lightly.

"Hmm. Well, I know a decent place."

"Alright. Shall we go, m'lady?" he asks, bowing ever so slightly.

"Don't call me that or you'll find yourself dead, or wishing you were." she said.

"Yes ma'am." he replies, saluting a bit.

"Also not that. My name will suffice."
