Zerin sank his teeth into the chocolate he'd gotten.

Zerin finished his chocolate bar and moved onto the fruit.
"So… Um… What is your domain like?" He asked, looking around.

Xavier shrugged. “Boring. Pratically lifeless and really loud with my younger siblings around.” He shook his head with a sigh. “May I ask the same?”

Zerin looked the other Prince in the eyes.
"I-It's um… It's alright… We're… We're kind of on the brink of war." He stammered.

Xavier rose his perfect eyebrows up high. “With whom?”

"Those off to the South." Zerin said, continuing to eat. He went to smell a meadowflower.

Xavier sighed gently. “War just can’t be avoided… I hope you stay safe, friend.”

"Likewise." Zerin said, extending a hand to the other Prince.
Silence.

Xavier looked down at the hand for a few moments. Does he want a handshake? Xavier took his hand.

Zerin shook his hand, maybe too tight, maybe too loose… Then again, he didn't really know…
"So… Um… What do you usually do?"

Xavier wasn’t sure wether he should pull away or not. The other’s hand felt soft and good in his.
“Er… just… ride.”

Zerin visibly blushed.
"Oh… Okay…" He said, looking the other boi in the eyes. He didn't let go yet.

Xavier simpered. “By ride I mean horses.” He turned a faint red in the face. “If… if you thought different.”

"No… I… I-I know what you meant…" Zerin managed to say. He was speechless.

Xavier nodded. “Right. Right. That’s good.”

Zerin was speechless, resisting the urge to let his hands shake, he let go of Xavier's hand reluctantly. He was handsome , blameless, and nice. But if Zerin's dad found out he was interested in another boy.
Zerin flinched involuntarily.

Xavier’s hands hung in the air for a bit and he set them down. “Er… what do you like to do?”

"Erm… I write.. ." Are in muttered, blushing even more.

Xavier wrung his hands. “Really? I love writers, they have such a good personality to them…”

Zerin blushed even more, his face a literal pink color.
"T-Thank you so much…" He exclaimed.

Xavier smiled shyly up at him. “You’re welcome. Did… did we ever exchange names?”

"I… I don't remember…" Zerin flinching at his own awkwardness.
"I'm Zerin Winger, and you?"

“I’m Xavier Tyler Metzler. It’s a pleasure to meet you again, Zerin.” He gave a light laugh.

"The pleasure is all mine…" Zerin assured the other Prince' continuing to eat his food.

Xavier smiled. “It is mine, I assure you.”
