"I saw what you did to Kasady and her boys," Ravelle said to the two nobles, giving them an approving nod. "Y'all be some nasty pieces of work." He turned to Parris again. "Where do you find people like this? Seems like every time a pirate's meeting arises you always got the meanest dogs."
"Well, Fane's been on my crew for years," Parris said, gesturing over to his first mate. "You've seen her from the last three times I've come here. Anto, however, we had to fish his ass out of the sea. He'd survived a hurricane and had been floating around for a few days before we found him. His legs were busted up real good, too. Still fought off a pack of marauders barely a week after the stitches went in, too."
The woman seemed pleased after Parris was done bragging about young man, sliding in a little closer and beginning to wrap her arms around his shoulders. Now even Anto noticed what was going on. He stood up from his seat, hiding a wince as he stepped aside and gestured to it.
"How about you have my seat? You've probably been standing much longer than I have," Anthony said, walking over to Fane's side and leaning against her slightly.
