"Uhh… where do I sit?" Miles said, moving back to walk with Ari.

"With the Hermes kids, unless you've been claimed."
"Claimed? How do you get claimed?" Miles asked, feeling a little stupid.
"It's hard to explain. But when it happens, you'll know, I promise."
"Okay… so who do you think will claim me?" Miles smiles, hoping she won't pick a weird god.
"I'm honestly not sure." Ari shrugged. "I actually thought that my dad was Zeus, because of my name, Arianna."
"Uhh… what does your name have to do with it? Not trying to be rude." Miles asks.
"I know. I was ten, okay?" Ari said laughing.
Miles laughs. "I just hope I'm claimed soon. Hermes' table looks… overcrowded." he says when they reach the pavilion.
"It is, isn't it?"
"Yeah… anyway, we'd better go eat. Talk later?" Miles said, looking away from the Hermes table and at Ari.
"Yeah, okay. Later gator!" She said cheerfully.

Lewis decided to sit out during dinner that night. The pain he still felt was close to sickening, and he much preferred to leave it behind. He made sure to pick up an ice pack before going back to the cabin, and when he got there, he laid in bed with the ice over his ankle.
Miles sat down at the Hermes cabin, next to a girl.
"Where's Lewis?" the girl asked. "He always sits here."
"I have no idea." Miles replied, looking around for him. "He hurt his ankle, so he might not be coming."
"Oh, alright." she answered, turning back to her food. Miles turned to his and was about to start eating when he noticed everyone getting up and scraping some into the fire. He followed them and scraped a part of his meal into the flames before returning to the table and eating.

Lewis suddenly remembered that it was Miles' first dinner at camp and felt guilty. He should've been there to guide him. He knew better than anyone that, while being like a large family, the Hermes cabin could feel like a very lonely place, especially for someone waiting to be claimed. He promised himself he would speak with Miles later to make sure he was doing alright.
Miles picked at his food, a little lost. Everyone was talking about things that just confused him.
Viva sat down at the Apollo table after scraping a portion of her food into the brazier.
She looked over at Miles and saw how lost he looked. She wanted to get up and talk to him, but she'd be in SO much trouble.
(just curious, are we playing with the original twelve cabins? or the camp with heaps of cabins after percy renovates XD)
(no idea. Probably before, since Hecate's cabin hasn't been built yet)
group
(Oh yeah, I forgot about that!!! I've been RPing like it's the original 12, since Lewis is Hecate's kid. But idk what we were supposed to do. Also, do we know what time of year it is in our storyline?)
(Well I'm guessing it's summer right now, so we're probably in the June-July-August time)
(ok. i was just checking cos ppl were saying stuff about an overcrowded hermes table and i was like wut… XD. I agree it would be summer.)
group
(Okay. Summer makes sense! I was mostly wondering because of character age/birthday- that sort of thing. And yes, I do have that all figured out, but that's only because he was part of an old fanfiction that I wrote in middle school.)

(I think I should probably call it a night. It's like 1:30 in the morning here, and I have to leave early to go out of town for the day tomorrow. See you guys!)
(see you!)
Miles looked around the pavilion for someone he knew. He saw Viva looking at him and smiled at her.
Viva smiled back at Miles, then imitated a bunny after making sure all the Ares camper's backs were turned.
Miles had to stifle a laugh from Viva's imitation. The rest of the Hermes table looks at him funnily, and he stops laughing. He looks at the campers at his table and frowns. He turns back to Viva and shrugs, hoping that she gets it as "I don't know what the hell is going on".
Viva saw Miles' shrug and resolved to go talk to him after breakfast. She'd been tasked with showing him around last night and answering any questions he had but she hadn't exactly done a stellar job at it…
