Avery took out her phone and texted her mom ‘mama it’s raining with lightning! Pick me up?’ she sent the message then looked up. The teacher walked in and started teaching the class. She took out her sketchbook and started drawing a picture of a girl

Lexi didn't understand why people were scared of the storm out side, Its not like its going to hurt you. Lexi could feel SnickerDoodle moving in her pocket as she tested on calliography on some paper.

Crys looked at her ELA teacher. Today was the big vocabulary quiz and she knew she was gonna fail it.
"Ready to fail your quiz again?" Purred a mean female voice in her ear. Before Crys could look up to see who it was, an elbow crashed into the back of her head, which slammed her nose painfully into her desk. Stupid Beatrice, I'll show you. She glared at the back of Beatrice's pretty blonde head as she gave out papers.

Avery winced when she saw a girls head being smashed into the desk. She took her paper and mentally revised all the words

Crys swallowed nervously and kept her gaze burned into her desk. She could hear gentle sniggers and heartily disliked it. The teacher started writing numbers up on the board. Oh god oh god oh god.

Pablo ran to the school, late again. He slid on a puddle, scraping his knees and a hand, but the rush of adrenaline made him unable to feel the pain. He ran down the hall, sung open his locker, shoved his backpack inside, grabbed his supplies, and started running again. He stopped at the door to catch his breath. After he was able to breathe normally again, Pablo slipped into the room and his desk without the teacher noticing. He was handed a vocabulary quiz, crap. Pablo knew he was gonna flunk it.

“First word, Cerulean!” The teacher said

Crys swallowed and wrote something. 'Serulian'. She absolutely knew that was wrong, but it was shorter, wasn't it?

Lexi secretly let SnickerDoodle slither around on her desk as she preped her paper ready for the Vocab quiz. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw a girl being bullied. Beatrice never bullied her since she was scared of Lexi's wrath. She winced before returning her attention to the board.

Raven quietly walked into her classroom without the teacher noticing and was handed a vocabulary quiz, I'm going to die

Lexi quickly wrote down the first word before waiting for the teacher to announce the next.

“Second word, Intensify!” The teacher glared at those who were talking

Pablo wrote, Serruleian and Intensify as his answers. That’s how it sounded, and the teacher always said to sound it out… right?

She quickly wrote down the first two words and waits for the teacher to announce the next.

Crys nodded. Not too bad

'Intensify'

The teacher quickly said the other 18 words. “Pass your paper one up!” She said and watched to see everyone was doing what she said

Lexi loosened up as she wrote down the first two words. They weren't bad, she didn't understand why people were so….worked up.

Crys passed her paper up. Intensify was the only word she allowed herself to spell right because the others might've given her a heart attack if she wrote them down.

Raven passed her paper up and tapped her pencil on her desk since she was hyper, like always.

Pablo passed his paper up, he knew he probably failed. He wasn’t confident in any of his answers.

Lexi hid SnickerDoodle in her pocket as she passed her paper up, not really worried if she failed or passed.

The teacher wrote the words on the board, starting with Cerulean and ending with meerkat. “Mark down correct ones and send the papers up to the first person in each row.” She said

Pablo sent up the paper, whoever was behind him got every word correct, he wished he could be them.

Crys swallowed nervously. Whoever was gonna get her paper was going to know immediately, and maybe point it out to everyone, as if it were a trophy. Oh I'm screwed. I might as well just go kill myself now… The person in front of her got one wrong, but it was nothing to what she was expecting from her paper.

Lexi gave everyone a weird look as she passed her paper forward. Whats so bad about failing?

The teacher collected all the papers from the first person and took them back to her desk to mark
