Personality: Very bold, determined. Covers up her true feelings with snark and sass. Extremely loyal, sometimes a bit short sighted when it comes to fighting. Has no patience for romance.
Talent: She can breathe and move normally underwater, as well as "read" people well. Like their emotions, and what they're thinking. (not mind reading or a mermaid though, just has an amulet and really good intuition)
Backstory: She used to be a slave in the harem of one of the most famous pirates - Let's just call him Smokey-Sails Sam for now. She was in love with his daughter, Christine. One day, Lyra stole the amulet - the Ruby Eye - from Sam to give to Christine because she wanted to see what it was like underwater. They swam together and had fun for the entire afternoon, when at midnight, Christine finally leaned over and whispered "I love you," into Lyra's ear after all these months of waiting for Christine to return her feelings. But when they snuck into Sam's chambers to return the amulet, he caught them. Christine said that she took it because she thought that Sam wouldn't kill her. Since you know, she's his daughter.
He slit her throat on the front deck in front of the entire crew.
Out of grief, Lyra challenged Sam to a duel. She won, and stole the Ruby Eye from him and swam away. But since she won it without killing him, she's cursed to die soon unless she gives her heart to someone and expects nothing back. However, Lyra swore to never love again after Christine, so she will die soon unless she DOES love someone.
Other: She also has extremely low stamina underwater or near someone who loves her but doesn't get their feelings reciprocated, because the amulet drains her energy really quickly.
