Carson realized soon that help wasn't coming. He began covering himself with dirt and leaves, anything that could provide warmth. He dug down pretty deep before his strength gave out, he would live but only barely.

When Celestia heard a cry, she froze. Thinking it was an animal, she fell quiet but then she heard again, this time clearer. She quickly wiped away her tears and tried to sound as normal as possible.
“Dara, Skye!” She whispered furiously. “I-I think someone’s out there!”
