"I can understand that feeling," Ember admitted. He was about to put the money back in his pocket guiltily, but he had an idea. "Hey, if I'm really going to be helping run the shoppe, do you think you could show me how to open the register?"

@Oakie Dokie

"Umm, sure!!" Aspen conceded, walking over to the register and popping it open with two bangs onto the underside of the counter. "Pro tip: the lock is broken, and any other way you try to open it, the lock will hold."

"Thanks," Ember said with a smile. He slipped the ten dollar bill into one of the slots. "See? Now you don't have to physically take my money, and your shop stays open because you're not losing any money."

@Oakie Dokie

"Why, you little…" Aspen muttered playfully before smirking. "You know, you'd make a good business director."

Ember laughed, a bit embarrassed. "Thanks, but I guess we'll see about that when I really start working."

@Oakie Dokie

Aspen smiled with relief and leaned back against the countertop, grabbing a Ceaser Salad wrap from the display and munching on it peckishly. "This means more than you know. Thank you." (bye haha)

"No problem," Ember said, smiling back. He tied his hair up in a messy bun and stretched, feeling content and peaceful. A little nervous, but that was just a part of who he was. (lol perfect timing, I gotta leave too)

“Work here?”, Oyoyo asked nervously. “Wow, I never thought I would find myself working in a coffee shop.” She didn’t wasn’t to hurt his feelings, so she added “It would be nice to see y’all every morning, though.” Was she seriously rethinking her whole life? She was conflicted on the idea of working in the coffee shop. Part of her actually wanted to say yes and still part of her wanted to decline.

"It'd be nice to get to know you," Ember said, sipping on his latte. "And it's not like it has to be anything permanent."

@m1dn1g7t_ri0ts_13

“Yeah.”, Oyoyo replied thoughtfully. “If we decide to work here, I could only come on weekends.” She turned to Aspen. “Could I get a black tea?”, she asked. She put some dollar bills in the open cash register, making sure to add a few more dollars than the actual price.

@Oakie Dokie

"Could y'all stop shoving money in this?" Aspen joked, turining to make the tea. "Once I get my job I may only be in during late and early hours…"

"I think I'd be able to work from early morning until late night on weekdays," Ember said, drumming his fingers on the table.

Cobalt has randomly entered the coffee shop

@joethehoe

"What am I doing here"

@Oakie Dokie

"You're helping us run the coffeeshop, that's what you're doing!!" Aspen exclaimed, picking up a handful of shredded lettuce and tossing it in the air like confetti. "Congratulations."

@joethehoe

"Sounds stressful! I'm in!" Cobalt said while taking a seat and ordering an iced tea.

Ember giggled at Aspen's enthusiasm. "Hey, I'm Ember," he said, introducing himself.

@joethehoe

Cobalt smiled at Ember, happy to see another friendly face in his new favorite coffee shop.

Ember twirled his keys around his pointer finger. "Coffee?" he asked.

@joethehoe

"Sure!" Cobalt replied enthusiastically. After another late night, he didn't care what he got, as long as he consumed enough caffeine to make him seem less like a zombie. He twirled his hair numbly as he waited.

"Got anything specific in mind?" He asked, reaching for coffee grounds already.

@Oakie Dokie

Aspen sat back and watched Ember wistfully, realizing with a sigh of relief that he may end up having a life other than making coffee all day.

@m1dn1g7t_ri0ts_13

“I don’t know how to make coffee, but I know how to make tea.”, Oyoyo said. “Other than tea, I know nothing.”

"Maybe we can teach each other," Ember suggested.

@m1dn1g7t_ri0ts_13

“Sure”, Oyoyo said. “People will come here far and wide just to see me here. You’ll be so popular, everything will sell out.”, she joked. “Maybe I’ll even sign some autographs.” She laughed at the thought of people coming just to see her.
