Blake's face went slack and his cheeks heated up red. "I don't like her like that! I just met her!" He whispered furiously, his eyes shifting to the door of Dani's room. She better not overhear this…

"Your cheeks beg to differ, sire." Ace gave Blake a small smirk and pushed on Blake's apple red cheeks.

"I don't like her like that!" He protested, making a shooing gesture at Ace and pushing his hands away. "I'm a soldier. I don't like anyone like that."

(sure, sure, my little not-yet-baked cinnamon roll * smirks and raises eyebrow *

"Anyone? What about your mom?" Ace's smile faded as he remembered his own mother, lying in her bed, her stomach ripped open.

"Never met her." Blake said flatly his face going into a black mask that he'd been trained to form at the R.A.C. "Never met any of my family. Unless you count Commander Ryker. He sort of raised me down at the barracks."

BECAUSE EVEN THOUGH MOST CHARACTERS WITH OVERLY SAD BACKSTORIES ARE INCREDIBLY EDGY, ACE IS, LIKE HAPPY EVEN THOUGH ALL OF THOSE BAD THINGS HAPPENED TO HIM.

"Fair enough." Blake nodded, happy that the blush was finally fading off his face.

Dani nodded. "I REALLY don't like dressing up. But, a lot of times it's unavoidable so I have to keep a stache of dresses."

"Thank you..", Macha smiled, holding the dress carefully. "I used to love dressing up. I haven't gotten to do it in a while, though.. Do you think I should wear makeup?"

Dani shrugged. "You don't have to, but if you want to, I LOVE putting makeup on others."

Macha nodded, excitement bubbling up inside of her. "The stone around my eyelids is softer.", she started, smiling broadly. "So I guess I can wear some eyeliner, and maybe a bit of lipstick?"

Dani nodded, excited. Then………….."Um………… Macha, did you ever meet a girl named Sabine?"

Macha tilted her head. "Err… the name sounds sort of familiar, I guess."
