Well I keep wanting to do rebels in a war
or maybe do a floof kind of romance thing…

You want to do powers, right? So just some suggestions for a basic premise:
- different sectors with different powers are at odds and go to war
- government is trying to suppress people with powers, people with powers don't like this and revolt
- swords and sorcery type of setting, people with powers are commonplace and just other people in this society. But society is terrible and people revolt. There just happen to be mages in the war
These are just to start. I can maybe come up with more…

Okay, so now the question is what kind of time period? Medieval? Some historical period? Now? Future? Because honestly those all sound fun, and I could find a character to fit any of those.

We can always do the thing where we have characters on each side. So we each have 2 characters: one rebel and one of the suppressors? That might make it flow better…
