Skye sat down at the officers table, feigning extreme drunkenness. "Soo maateys!" he said loudly, "Caught any evil magic users lately?" he slurred his words a little wobbling on his seat, Don't overdoe it skye he chided himself.

Septima overheard this last comment and shrunk down a little bit. She pulled on her black gloves and started to pull out her money to pay. She needed to get out of here in case someone recognized her.
One of the officers laughed "not lately!"
"No matter though!" Said another "we've got a couple of new catches waiting for execution in two weeks!"
"And where might he be holding these dastardly blokes?" Asked Skye relieved that theyd bought his ploy

Septima had been about to step out the door when she realized Skye was trying to get information. She ducked into the hallway that led to the kitchen, and she stopped, breathing heavily as she eavesdropped.
"Old Rearmont castle" said one of the more drunken guards earning a slap from his superior who turned to Skye with a glare. "He wasnt supposed to say that so you'd better scram and keep your mouth shut" he said warningly.
Skye quickly scrambled to his feet, feigning terror of the guard as he babbled an apology to the superior for disturbing him as he fell over comically drawing the laughter and attention of the whole place before stumbling outside. A silent grin was on his face as he fistpumped in triumph after he slipped into a nearby alley. that was way to easy and it'll probably bite me later but I dont even care right now he thought happily as he retrieved his blades from under an old crate.
group
Septima darted outside and started running after Skye.
"Hey! You!" she shouted, sliding into the alley about thirty feet away from him.
She came across as much more aggressive than she had intended.
Skye whipped around, one sword in either hand. "What do you want" he said his voice calm.
group
Septima held up her hands to show she had no weapon drawn.
"Are you looking for someone? Someone with powers?"
"What's it to you?" He asked, sheathing his blades under his cloak, Could she be looking for prisoners too?
group
"Two of my friends went missing. One of them had powers. So now I'm assuming he's imprisoned somewhere," she explained.
"One of my buddies went missing awhile ago, he had powers too," said Skye slowly, not sure if he should trust her, "but why are you telling me?"
group
“I overheard your conversation in that bar… I thought you might know something, and perhaps we could help each other,” Septima replied, “I wouldn’t have approached you had I deemed it unsafe to do so.”
Skye couldn't help but smirk, "I'm always open to team up," he said, "Besides it'll be a bit easier with someone to watch your back" Not that I'm going to trust you with everything right away,
group
“Alright then… do you have any sort of plan? What else have you found out? I’m just about clueless. All I know is my friends are gone…” Septima sighed, “I’ll have to trust you I guess. At least, as much as one can trust a perfect stranger.”
"I don't really do plans" said Skye, "And as for info all I needed was a location, and now I have it"
group
"Alright, then. I guess that is all we need," Septima said, "Were you heading straight there?"
"Yeah, more or less" Said Skye, "Why? did you have another idea?"
group
"No, I just didn't want to get in the way if you had other plans. Besides, we probably need to get there as quickly as possible. No telling what they're doing to our friends in there."
She sighed a little bit, and while this breakthrough had been a relief, she was still worried.
"Well I'm going to keep moving then," said Skye turning to head out onto the street on the other side of the alley.
group
Septima nodded and followed quietly. She opened her mouth to ask him something, but quickly changed her mind, figuring it wasn't something he'd want to answer. She fastened the buttons on her coat and kept walking.
It didn't take them too long before reaching the trees just outside the village, Skye kept walking a little farther off the path before dumping the cloak, revealing his multicolored hair. "I don't think I ever got your name" he said to the girl following him.
group
"Oh. I suppose that's important. I'm Septima. What about you?"
She looked him up and down, and was somewhat mesmerized by his hair.
"Skye" he replied before pausing and turning around to face her, "I don't suppose you'd mind to much if I made an effort to get to our freinds a bit faster would you?" he asked
group
"By all means, do it. I'm sure I can keep up," Septima said, brushing a strand of dark brown hair out of her eyes.
Skye nodded before shifting to wolf form, and padding up beside her, "You may as well ride," he said, "It'll be faster that way."
group
Septima smiled. "Oh, okay! That's… not what I expected, but this is cool!"
She carefully climbed on Skye's back and grabbed onto some of the fur around his neck.
"I'm not hurting you, am I?"
"Nah" said Skye as he padded off into the woods, quickly increasing his gait to a steady, ground eating, lope.
group
Septima sighed softly. She wasn't so sure what they might have to face, plus she was in the company of a stranger. At least he had powers too. That meant she could somewhat trust him.
"Hey, I think you should know that I've got powers… Just so you don't suspect me of trying to catch you or get you locked up or anything."
"I figured as much" said Skye relaxing into the woods around him as his paws thudded softly on the forest floor.
group
"Oh, okay… So you'll just take my word for it…" she whispered, "I dunno, you seemed awfully wary of me at first, but I guess rightfully so."
