Septima flipped through the book some more, then arrived at a very thick section that was basically just anti-magic propaganda. She shuddered. It was fully illustrated, pointing out every flaw each type of magical person had, and some parts were graphic depictions of torture or magic killing people.

Septima kept pacing, scanning the shelves carefully until she found some books on the palace itself.

For a magical creature that type of power drain won't kill you immediately… but once your magic power is drained it starts on your life force. If you don't stop it soon after that then it will kill you. Said Skye smugly. Unfortunately it doesn't stop there. It not only drains away your life force, but it also drains away the essence of your soul.

Septima put back any extra books, then passed back through the library and into the hall where she and Skye had parted. She kept going towards where the kitchen and dining area were.
Entering the dining room he was immediately greeted by the King's wife, and her son, the crown prince. "Welcome! I heard we had a visitor." said the young man, who seemed about Skye's age.
Skye smiled, "Pardon me, I got a bit lost…" he said. "Though I do hope breakfast is ready soon?"

He's the prince, don't panic… he said to Septima. "Ah, and heres my assistant." he said, keeping a light and friendly tone as he beckoned for Septima to come over.
