¨what would you know about that¨ she asked with a smirk.

"Common sense" said Damian flatly.

Thorn landed and briar kissed Damian´s cheek before hoping off.

Damian went bright red, attempting to slide off of the dragon's back, shifting as soon as he was on the ground, limping to Briar's side.

she glanced over at him ¨you hot or something your cheeks are bright red¨ she said with a smirk.

Damian growled, shifting to wolf form to hide the blush. padding after her, ignoring the slight throb in his leg.

Briar smiled ¨cute real cute¨.

Damian purposely whacked her with his tail, ears flat with embarrassment.

Briar chuckled ¨look how flustered you get when I kiss your cheek wonder what happens when I actually kiss you¨.

Damian froze for a split second at the thought of that, but said nothing as they continued on.

Briar slowly began to hum a tune.

Damian focused on it, forcing his heart to calm down.

briar bit her lip slowly.

Damian sighed, taking in the sounds and smells of the forest around him.

briar looked up ¨its getting dark.¨

"The dark is my time to shine" said Damian,shifting to human form.

¨That´s…………Great¨ Briars eyes began to flutter and soon enough she passed out

Damian stared at her in shock, quickly rolling her over and checking her pulse, "Briar?! Briar what's wrong?"

someone creeped in the shawdows ¨leave her to die¨ he whispered.

Damian looked up, looking right at he person in the trees, slipping a hidden dagger to the palm of his hand. shadows seeming to writhe around him. "Who are you?! Did you do this?!" he demanded.

¨Why do you care shes just a dumb girl´ he said.

"She's an ally, and a wolf doesn't leave allies behind" Said Damian, his voice ominous, his eyes glinting dangerously as the shadows picked up around him like the wind.

¨and thats the only reason If I didn´t know any better I would say you like this girl¨ he whispered.

"So what?!" asked Damian, "Why would it matter to you?!"

¨because ¨ the shadow leaned over briar tracing his hand over her arm leaving a cut¨Perhaps shes your weakness¨he saiid.

Damian glared at the shadow, creating a shield over Briar to protect her. "What the heck are you?" he asked, confused because this was a kind of shadow magic he'd never seen before. drawing his sword he got to his feet, ignoring the dull ache in his leg.

¨Your shadow¨ he said before dissappearing.

Damian blinked, "That makes absolutely no sense…… I'm a Nightshade, A shadow elemental…… why would…" He shook his head, confused. Kneeling next to Briar he carefully shook her shoulder, "Briar?"

Briar slowly opend her eyes.
