Max opened the door and sighed, dropping his duffel on the floor. He grabbed a cookie and wandered over to the window.

(Time jump to when?)

(Evening hours. Everyone is just getting off work)

Amanda walked out of her room from taking a nap. She slumped down on the stool at the breakfast bar and put her hair up into a messy bun. "Hey Max, you're out late."

(James got home from class cause he’s unemployed)

"Yeah." Max took a bite of his cookie. "Rough day at work."

(Amanda was home sick today, poor bab)

"Yeah." Max took a bite of his cookie. "Rough day at work."

"Oy vey. People being idiots?" Amanda asked, slipping from the chair and opening the cupboard to get a glass.

James walked in moments later. He didn’t say anything he just went to his room wordlessly.

"Yeah. Mostly just getting yelled at though."

Amanda smiled quickly at James and went to go fill her cup with water

"Yeah. Mostly just getting yelled at though."

"Yeah, people suck" she sneezed

"I feel like I've been annoying a lot of people lately." Max shrugged.

James slammed his bedroom door behind him as he crashed down onto his bed.

"Not me!" she laughed, taking a sip of her water.

Max smiled. "Really?"

"I've learnt to get used to you yeah" Amanda blushed. She heard the door slam and jumped, the water going all over her white night top

"Dude careful!" He grabbed a towel and gave it to her. "Butterfingers."

"H-hey! Shut up…" she whisper-yelled, grabbing the towel and sitting back down on the stool

"It's true."

Amanda blushed more and covered her face with the towel so he couldn't see the red across her face.

James put his head in his pillow and screamed, it had been a long day.

"Hey." Max titled his head. "Are you alright?"

Amanda's head jolted up when she heard a scream come from James' room. "Uh, yeah I'm fine. I'm gonna go c-check on James though"

"You do that." Max leaned on the counter and pulled out his phone.

Amanda walked swiftly to James' room and knocked on the door, "It's Amanda, may I come in James?"
