Roommates for better or worse (Roommates RP) [OPEN]

James beat his fist repeatedly on the pillow and didn't answer Amanda.

"James? Do you need some time alone?"

James sat up and ran hand hands through his hair, "I'm fine," He called back to her, a tear running sown his cheek.

"Are you certain James?" she asked. She knew she had to nudge him a bit, but she also knew her boundaries

"You are not certain," he said back.

"I'm not certain that you are certain that I am not certain. Now, please open the door"

James took a minute but eventually, the door opened revealing a red-eyed James.

"Oh James" she whispered, "Can I hug you?"

"I would not enjoy that but I will let you,"

Amanda gave him a short hug, "Ok?"

James stayed stiff, "You are good at hugging," He sighed.

"Thank you, do you need to talk about it?"

"I would not like to but if it'll make you feel better, then I guess I can," He said going back to his bed.

"It's fine if it doesn't make you comfortable, but if you want to talk about it I'm always here"

James nodded, "You are not comfortable now," he crashed back into his pillow.

Amanda smiled and walked back out, closing the door halway behind her. She walked back out and sat next to Max on the sofa, "He's fine, just had a rough day at school"

Max looked at her. "Oh. Yeah that always got me down when I was younger. I didn't handle it very well though."

"Same here…" Amanda laughed fakely, taking a quick peek at the scars on her wrists and the fresh cuts that were farther up her arm.
