Max patted her shoulder. "Take deep breaths….In…out…"

"Is she okay?" James whispered to Max like Amanda couldn't hear him.

"Yeah…she'll be okay…."

Amanda looked up at Max and scooted herself a bit further from him on the couch, creating the smallest space between them. 'I don't know how I'm going to keep myself contained…' she thought, pulling her sleeves down over her rists again

Max realized how close he was. "Oh sorry I'll give you some space…"

"n-no. I like company"

"Oh….okay."

James sighed, "I need a friend more than I need space," He said to himself.

"Pardon?" Amanda asked, not sure who said what. She brought her sleeves up to her face and wiped the black stained tears off of her cheeks.

James looked at her, "Nevermind,"

Max patted her shoulder again. "Will you be okay now?"

"I'll be fine" she smiled. She got up and went to her room, taking the blade out from her dresser. She examined it and then threw it out. She went back out into the kitchen and looked at the time on the oven, "My paycheck should be at my office right about now, I'll be back in a few. Bye guys"

"Amanda wait!" James called.

(I have to go to bed now… I'm sowy :/ )

"What is it?" Amanda replied, whipping back to face him

"When you come back, can we talk?"

"Yes, yes of course James" Amanda replied. She turned back to the door, grabbed her purse, and walked out.
