(He has two roommates that usually prevent this kind of thing from happening but they decided to leave him home alone while they went on a date sooo…)

"Yea i guess so" she said, a little confused. She felt her phone buzz and pulled it out of her pocket. it was just her co-worker being an annoying prick as usually. she wondered why she ever gave out her phone number to them.

(oof poor guy)

"Where do you work?" He asked.

"Book store" she said, forgetting she had on her work clothes still

"kinda boring though. and people are annoying and i swear most of them have never been in a book store before" she said, laughing nervously

"People are dumb," He nodded, "I love books."

"im aware. join the club" she said light heartedly

"There is a club?" He seemed confused.

"its just a figure of speech" she laughed

"Metaphorical?" He asked curiously.

"yes" she nodded

"Oh, then yes, join the club," He nodded with certainty.

She laughed. "well id probably better get home. im in need of a major nap"

"Napping is good, it increased cognitive function," He nodded.

"very true. thanks for the donuts and it was nice to meet you"

"Yes, good to meet your acquaintance,"

"ill see myself out then" she said and stood. she picked up the keys and her drink she had set on the table and headed for the door.

"Goodbye,"

"bye" she said and left. she went home, showerd and changed, then took her nap.
