Briania looked back ¨I´ll be right back¨ briania got up and went to the back to valerie

Valerie glancing up, hoping to see Austin, but it was Bri. She smiled and wiped her tears quickly. "What's up Barbie?" She said.

¨whats wrong¨ she asked.

"Wrong?" Valerie hiccuped. "NOthing's wrong, what would make you think that?" She wiped her nose. "Everything's perfect…."

Briania gave valerie a look.

Valerie set her book down, tears falling. "I don't think he loves me anymore…"

¨why do you think that¨ she asked.

"We haven't spoken really at all during this trip. He was even more silent before we left. I thought everything would be okay… but-but…"

"shhhh it's going to be okay Austin is a quite person"she said.

Briania sighed as she sat down ¨When Austin was six he was very talkitive he was in the car with his family and he was talking his sister told him to shut up and austin started talking louder screaming almost his dad turned back to look at austin for just a second and the car crashed into a semi everyone was dead the only survivor was austin so he made a promise to himself to never be a talker again untill he met me he opened up I was his sister and he swore he was going to do everything in his power to protect me¨ Briania said sadly.

Val looked to Bri, tears on her cheeks, her eyes red. "Then why has he never told me that? We've been dating since freshmen year… And I'm hearing this from you after 4 years…"

" because he's scared afraid you can't force someone to open up to you Valerie you may have known him since freshman year but I've known him since we were toddlers" Brianna said.

"Then why me? Why date me if you don't trust me….even after all these years, he still doesn't trust me. And what was he afraid of, was he afraid that I wouldn't understand he was traumatized? That I wouldn't get that he had a reason for his silence? Or that when he touches you it's out of endearment?"

" I don't know Valerie" she said and stormed off.

Valerie glowered after her and grabbed her sketchbook once more, but she couldn't draw. Not right now… So instead, she curled up on the couch and tried to find a calm within her.

Briania went back up to the passanger sest.

Clyde glanced over, Seeing the look on her face. "What happened back there?"

¨Mhh nothing¨ she said.

Clyde snorted. "You sure?"

¨I´m fine¨ she said as she looked at him with a smile.

"Okay." he shrugged. "Just know that even though I'm driving an RV like a 50 year old man, I'm not deaf. And I heard two best friends arguing. But if you don't want to talk about it, that's fine."
