Fleur's eyes widened, but she didn't flinch at all or run away. Lina was hiding in the kitchen, trembling.

”He wouldn’t let me hurt you anyways,”

Hesitantly, she reached up and cupped his cheek with her hand. The realization finally hit her. "Cooper… it is you."

Shaxx nodded. It was Cooper, just bigger, angrier and scarier.

"Cooper," she cried, hugging him tightly. "You really scared me!"

”Sorry, human,” he mumbled as he leaned over and hugged her back. His black eyes turned to blue and he shrunk in her arms until Cooper was the one hugging her back. “Sorry,”

Fleur realized it was Cooper's voice, not Shaxx's. She hugged him tighter. "Cooper… Cooper…"

Hearing his voice again, she relaxed.
Lina left her hiding spot and timidly approached the couple.

“Are you okay?”

"Yes," Fleur replied. She looked at Lina and smiled reassuringly.

Cooper looked up at Lina less than reassuringly. He still didn’t trust her.

Fleur tilted his chin so he was looking back at her. "Why won't you trust her?"

"Then I guess I'll have to dethrone you."

(Considering my brain was fried going in, yeah I think so.)

"You can try," he chuckled and sat back down on the couch.

Cooper didn't really trust anyone unless he had good reason to, Fleur had proven to earn his trust and he could revoke that trust at any point but she should consider herself special to have such a rare thing as his trust in the first place. "She came from the same place that would give anything to have me and my brothers locked up, tortured or killed. She could easily be faking to trick me and I don't trust people," He'd been hurt too many times.
