“Nope. Not really. On the outside it was but she got gutted and rebuilt on the inside.”

“Definitely,” he agreed as the computer pulled a map up with a line through the streets like a GPS. An animated woman appeared in the corner and began talking.

“I dunno. What now? I think we or at least, I should spend some time trying to figure out who the kanima is and who controls it,”

"Yeah that'd be the smart thing to do."

“And we’re making smart decisions,”

"Usually. Sometimes we make dumb ones."

Lillian watched the computer with interest, "How does it do that?"

“It’s a network that the race master connects to a program on here to tell us where the ‘track’ is,”

"So everyone has one of these? Neat."

“Yup. In fact I might make some bad decisions tonight. So maybe just be smart for an hour or so,” he shot Belle a quick charming smile.

“Yeah. It’s pretty cool,” the engines growled loudly and Darren smiled.

Lillian grinned wickedly, "There going down."

Cooper couldn’t help but laugh. “Are ya gonna make it?”

She blushed harder and smiled. "I think I will."

“I’m an earlier round,” Darren mumbled. The woman on the computer laughed, “Ready?” On the word go, all the cars took off, almost immediately determining underdogs by the people who fell behind.

Lillian held onto her seat. She glanced out the window to see all the cars falling behind or pulling ahead.

Darren pulled ahead until he was right next to Baldies car. He shot the man a smug smile.

Lillian stuck her tongue out at Baldie. She was a lot more childish then Darren.

Darren just chuckled and watch the finish line get closer on the computer screen. Baldie sped far ahead of Darren and Darren grinned. “Too soon,”
