Now he was pissed. Jacob slowly moved towards Cooper, "You think this is funny? Where the hell is Lillian?!"

Cooper shrugged nonchalantly, "I dunno, whatcha gonna do about it?"

“I will take legal action. Isn’t it illegal to hold someone against their will? I most certainly do not want to fucking be here,” the father was getting madder due to Cooper’s calmness.

Coop remained calm, of course he thought this was hilarious as all hell. "Legal action? That's cute, wanna sue me? Do you even remember my name? Besides, I could just as easily kill you,"

“You could what?” Jacob’s rage went slack. He couldn’t believe that last sentence, “O-On what terms? I’ve never done anything wrong before?”

"You threatened to take legal action, I threatened to kill, it's all the same thing and don't pretend like the two of us don't know the real reason you're so damn eager to get to your daughter." Other people couldn't see it but Cooper was much like the devil, he could see the bad things that people had done the difference being, he didn't always encourage.

Jacob snarled, “What I do with her is between me and her alone. You have no god damn right to interfere with it. Also legal action is nothing like pure murder!”

"I could take legal action if you were to murder someone and in our society, murder is only wrong based on what our laws say so… It's the same. But everything sinful is, in fact, my business,"

“What the fuck do you mean by that?” Jacob spat. His confusion wore his patience down to a thread.

"We'll I'm your friendly neighborhood demon and I much enjoy looking over people's sins when I'm bored,"

“That’s bullshit,” Jacob muttered laughing hysterically, “Demons don’t really exist. You’re shitting me aren’t you?!”

Cooper looked up, "Satan, I do hate it when people doubt me," he rolled his eyes that suddenly turned black. His entire figure grew and his skin blackened until Shaxx was there staring at Jacob. "This is gonna be fun, isn't it? Just the two of us…"

“Fuck,” Jacob, the man with eloquent words for every situation. Including one where the boy in front of him turNED INTO A FUCKING DEMON SHIT! And wasn’t there something about sins and shit?

"Wow, what a first impression." he chuckled. "In the next 24 hours I want to watch you beg for me to let you out, I want you to go to every exit in the house and try your damnedest to escape me,"

“A-And if I refuse?” Jacob asked. He has standards, and some very powerful demon thing wasn’t going to break them.

Darren could never get bored of the hotel Spanish soap operas. He used to do this as a kid when he and his brothers had to stay in a hotel after their mother died and their father abandoned them.

"You're telling me that you won't even try to escape?" Shaxx was no Balthazar but he was terrifying nonetheless.

Sleepy Lillian slept cause she was a sleepy sleep. Though her face tightened and burried itself against Darren.

Darren rubbed her back slowly, hoping she wouldn't lose her peace.

(I'm not saying they're not. But maybe 'scary' isn't the right tactic. Sometimes intimidating is better.)

Her face relaxed as she cooed in her sleep. Her peace returned once more.
