Darren sighed as he sat down on the chair, "Let's just get this done."
Lillian nodded. She turned the razor on and removed a strip of his hair. She took a shaky breath and continued until there was nothing left.
(Umm- I think it's the weekend——Is your character a new kid, like that, just got to the school or has she been here awhile.)

When the razor clicked off, Darren lifted a shaky hand to rub his head. "If anyone asks, I just got a haircut."
Lillian nodded and wrapped her arms around him, "Okay."
(Okay- Do you wanna say they met on her 1st day of school and they were gonna get lunch or something over the weekend to get to know each other?)
"I have brain surgery tomorrow," He sighed confirming it to himself, "I have a brain tumor."
Lillian nodded, "Yeah. I'll stay the night again if you want me too."

"I don't want your mom to be even angrier," Darren looked at her although not in the eyes, "I don't wanna put you in that position."

Lillian looked at him, "I'll take the risk. You shouldn't be alone right now."
"Thank you." He said quietly as he stood up.
Lillian looked to him, "What do you want?"
"To not have cancer mostly," He almost smiled, "But really just to lay down, my head still hurts."
Lillian smiled, "You want to cuddle?"
Darren smiled, "Of course I do."
They walked over to the couch and Darren laid down. She laid down next to him and hugged him.
"I love you," he whispered to Lillian wrapping and arm around her.

Lillian smiled and whispered back, "I love you too."
(The day after this can be Monday and Darren can have his surgery after school…)

Darren closed his eyes trying to use the scent of Lillian to forget about his day. He was exhausted, I guess a seizure can do that to you, and before long he was snoring softly with a ghost of a smile etched on his face.
Lillian heard his breathing even out. She kissed his forehead and snuggled up next to Darren. Her eyes closed and allowed him to wash her woes away.
