The judge smiled, wrote something down and then yelled "Is there anyone left?"

"Thanks," Lillian smiled at her, "You did great too."

“I failed, I know it,” Stacey muttered to herself, wringing her hands.

Darren walked with shaky legs over to the Lillian and Stormy, "Hey, you guys were-uh-good"

(Sorry, I knew a Stormy that was a girl.)

"You okay Darren?" Stormy asked.

"You were good to Darren," Lillian told him, "You did a lot better than some of the other jocks would have done."

Darren stared at his feet intensely "Can you guys not tell anyone about the singing thing."

"Yeah definitely, It's really cool that you sing."

"I shouldn't have signed up for this…."

Lillian held back her laughter, "You do realize that everyone who auditions gets a part right?"

"WHAT?!? for real?!??!?" Darren looked equally excited and scared at the same time.

"Yeah," Lillian nodded biting her cheek, "That's why these auditions are never really scary for me. I know I'm getting a part walking in."

"Yeah, this is my first year doing it so im kind of excited." Stormy said.

"So no going back from here then?" Darren met Lillian's eyes

Darren looked around the auditorium inquisitively "Did anyone see where Paige went?"

"Nope," Lillian answered his first question, "Who's Paige?"

"Never mind… Ill go find her." Darren spun around on his heel to go in search of Paige.

Darren searched the rest of the auditorium for Paige but couldn't find her.

"Did she audition Darren?" Stormy asked, leaning against the door.

"I think she did… she signed up." Darren searched the auditorium once more for good measure.
