It was too late… Darren had already rushed out the door.
He sat down on a bench outside and tried to wrap his head around his day… Tears began to burn the corner of his eyes. No matter how much he told himself he wouldn't cry and he'd stay strong, the tears still slowly made their way down his face.

Stormy looked around at Lloyd. "Should we go after him?"
"Um, probably." Lloyd pulled his hoodie over his head and hopped off the stage, leaving the auditorium and looking for Darren.
Stormy followed Lloyd out the door.
Lillian had already ran out of the auditorium looking around for Darren.

Darren reached into his pocket and pulled out a necklace with a small dolphin on it. He held it in his hands tight.

Lillian spotted him sitting on a bench. He looked like he was crying. She walked up slowly and quietly sat beside him.
Darren noticed Lillian and scrambled to make it look like he wasn't crying, even though she already saw him.
Lillian looked at him. She stifled a laugh watching him scramble, "Are you okay?"
"I'm fine!" Darren said quietly so she wouldn't hear his shaky voice.
Lillian grew slightly concerned, "You can trust me. I won't tell the others."
