Ellis sighed."Why do you keep leaving? Do you hate me or something?"

"I don't hate you, I just don't like not being able to control my feelings. And when I'm around you. . ." Mari trailed off, letting her hair hang in front of her face.

( You know you should kiss soon…..because you know one day you might lose her and you never got to say how much you love her…………SO KISS!)

Ellis put a hand on her shoulder. "Look. I think the stars of you. And if my presence makes you uncomfortable, I can leave you alone if you want."

But I want to be with you. "Well, yeah. But y'know, if a certain somebody happened to wander into the engine room from time to time or accidentally find me working on the ship, I'm sure I wouldn't mind." He thinks the stars of me. That's so sweet. The barest trace of a smile could be seen on her face.

Ellis smiled. "Okay. I'll stop bothering you now."

". . .Wait, what port are we stopping at next?" She definitely needed this information. Yes, she didn't want Ellis to stay at all. And she definitely wasn't making excuses.

"Crossakiel. It's a good place to rest up. And it's nice to look at."
It's also the perfect place for a first kiss!

Mariko had never heard of Crossakiel, but it seemed like a nice enough place. "Okay. We can go pick out a new hat for me when we reach there. Also, how's Ellen?"

Ellis shrugged. "I have no clue. I was in the kitchen before I came down here."

Mari nodded and crossed her arms, mustering enough courage to look Ellis in the eye. He looks cute. "I'll be here until then, I guess." Unless you ask me to come with you. I'm pretty sure I'd do anything for you at this point, Captain.

(Wait…yeah that would….)

"You can come with me and check on her if you want." He offered, blushing a bit as she made eye contact.

"Yeah, sure, sounds good." Mariko walked closer, standing by his side.

He smiled and clapped her on the shoulder. "Alright! Let's head that way!"

(oh nu)
She flinched from the sudden touch, but resumed her position, walking next to Ellis, occasionally brushing her hand against his.

Ellis clambered up the ladder and looked back at Mariko. "Need a hand? Bet you don't…"

"Yep, don't need a hand." Mari placed her hands on the bars and started climbing up with ease.

Conner walked out of Ellis's room and looked back at Ellen "hopefully there'll be no more nightmares, try and get some sleep, you've earned it."

"Thought so." He stood up and started down the hall.

She scrambled after him, loose blue hair ending up in front of her face. Maybe I should get it cut.

paps noticed Ellis and Mari "if you guys are going to see Ellen, i wouldn't recommend it, she just had a nightmare…"

"I have a hair tie if you need it." He said.

"Really? Thanks." She held out her hand.
