“Ahh. I see,” Meg said, turning around and setting down the chemical mix. “Don’t touch that,” she added, pointing to the stoppered bottle.

"Wasn't planing on touching anything." Lexi held up her hands.

“Probably wise.”

Leah couldn't really fit herself into the conversation so she just stood there, feeling awkward.

“Leah,” Meg asked suddenly, “Besides the books, how’s life at the Sanctum?”

"Like somebody gave people the powers to make portals, spellcast, and fight during high school. Chaotic."

"Chaos, Fun!" Ashley said sarcastically.

"Yeah, very fun. Ha ha. But that's with the people my age. The adults are chill."

"I find not chill adults more fun than chill ones. Just saying"

"Well, I guess most of the adult populous likes to mess around sometimes, but they do know how much a danger they could be. So, older means wiser."

Ashley nodded in response.

"What do you do? As far as I know people your age who don't live in space cults or have overprotective fathers hang out at malls and text."

"I'm pretty sure that's just what teenage girls in movies do. Sometimes in real life that happens though." Ashley thought about Leah's question. "I usually hang out at home, I'm home-schooled. But yeah I'll go to the mall every once in a while."

"What do you do there?" Leah asked, fascinated.

“At the mall? You buy stuff, take samples, ignore people, eat, and other stuff.”

"Cool!" Leah said.

Ani looked around at all the houses. So clean. This was the rich people's neighborhood. She saw a particularly large house. Lucky. She thought.

Rhea followed their sister, they said, "So, wanna head back to Asgard or…?"

"I do, I really do. But something tells me I shouldn't… I don't know why. I think I need to meet someone."

Ashley looked out one of the windows and saw two girls. She waved at them.

Ani saw a girl waving at them out of a window of the biggest house on the block. She waved back.

Ashley saw one of the girls wave back and smiled. She could see that it was still raining, she felt kinda bad. “Hey, I’ll be right back guys.” She ran to the front door then outside to where the girls were. “You guys wanna come inside? At least until the rain stops. I felt kinda bad seeing you guys get soaked.”

"Sure, thanks. I'm Ani, and this is Rhea." She followed the girl inside. "What's your name?"

“I’m Ashley. Ashley Stark.” She introduced. “Follow me, I have some more friends down in the lab.”

"Oh…" She said faintly. "Great…"

“There a problem?”

"No." She lied. She wasn't an extremely social person. Sure, she was good with like one person, but more… and this girl had invited her in to her house. She shouldn't follow this "Ashley". She knew from experience not to follow strange people. Stark… I feel like I've heard that name before… Oh, shoot! I am in IRON MAN'S HOUSE!!!!! Mom will be so mad I didn't remember sooner.

“Alright. By The way if you need anything just ask Jarvis.” She said.

I have to pretend I don't know who her dad is. Ani thought. Aloud she said "Who is Jarvis?"
