Secrets of Satruis 09 (3/3 spots taken)

Two words: SPACE ABYSS

Our small research vessel is a part of the fleet exploring Satruis, a meteor field with a cosmic storm of great extent within. No one knows for sure what is located in there, but they're picking up some pretty strange readings. Our team is assigned to explore Sector 09 of Satruis.

Due to a lack of funds (Thanks government), we're a very small crew, and the best the fleet could give us was an old Indagatio 4-B9 class model (For future reference, the interior is like a submarine's a bit.). So we shorthanded, and are driving an old clunker into a cosmic storm. What could possibly go wrong?

Appearance: Older, with slightly greying black hair, like, with grey streaks along broth sides, blue eyes, tanned, tall and reasonably muscular, freckles, broad-shouldered, his nose looks like it's been broken a lot in the past, wears glasses, goatee with grey hair along the middle part underneath the bottom lip, average weight.
Attire: Lavender jacket with an ungodly amount of pockets, ivory white button-up with suspenders underneath and inky black cargo pants and brown boots.
Personality: Not very good with emotions, his or others. Intelligent and pretty creative but tends to oversimplify his explanations and leave out important details. A bit of a grammar policeman, hates to admit he's wrong but is always ready to criticize. Doesn't like talking about his past. Hot-headed and will jump to conclusions a bit too quickly.
Talents: Navigation, negotiating, skilled with most weaponry, tracking, martial arts, poetry, and though he would never reveal it he is really, really good at art, especially painting.
Hobbies: Knitting, idk?

His wife died of disease a few months ago, so he went on the journey as to start over and forget. Is most definitely a cat person, has a phobia of just about any kind of dog.
