"I don't need bedtime stories!" A pink tint rose to Nathaniel's cheeks. "I'm not scared of the dark!"

"Right. And I don't need Adderall." Ellis rolled his eyes.

(Okie dokie)

"Hey guys, I brought Chinese. Let's take a food break." Tara said, leaning through the doorway.

"Oh goodie!" Ellis skipped over to her.

Tara threw an unfortunate cookie at Ellis's head. "Food!"

"Hey!" He rubbed his head. "Seriously?"

"Stop messing around."

"I…wasn't? I was helping bring stuff in!"

"Yeah, but let's just eat now. Okay?"

"Okay…"
(I gtg so I'm shutting this down for the day.)

Nathaniel wasn't particularly hungry, so he just opened a fortune cookie. He nibbled on the sweetened cardboard, as he liked to call it, as he read the 'fortune'.

Ellis sighed. "Should we eat in the kitchen? They left their rickety old table there."

"Sure. Don't see why not." Nathan walked into the kitchen and cautiously sat in one of the chairs. It didn't seem quite stable, but it held his weight well enough.

Ellis followed with a carton of fried rice. "Lovely decorating." He scoffed at the pea green walls with coral trim.
