Jay was quiet as they walked, looking up at Finn for a moment, then keeping his eyes ahead. He ached to reach out and take Finn's hand, but knew he shouldn't.

Finn sat down at the booth with Poppy next to him. An empty seat for Jay across from them.
Jay sat down across from Finn, eyes flickering around the diner for a moment, then back to Finn.
Finn smiled at him opening up the menu. "I'm probably getting a burger what about you?" He asked him.
Jay looked at the menu. "Uhm. I don't know yet." he replied with a laugh.
Finn nodded closing the menu. He turned to poppy. "Chick strips?" He asked. She nodded drawing on the kid's menu.
Jay kept looking at the menu, swinging his feet back and forth a little bit.
Finn smiled hitting his phone with his own. He played with the corner of the menu.
Jay smiled lightly, nudging Finn's feet with his toes, still looking at the menu.
Finn placed a hand over his mouth. Covering up his smirk. He wrapped a leg around Jays.
Jay's smile spread just a little bit, and he slid off his shoe, rubbing his toes on Finn's leg teasingly.
Finn tried not to laugh as a waiter came over. He told him poppy and his order before looking at Jay.
Jay blinked. "Oh. Er– can i just have a cheeseburger?" he asked, raising his eyebrows a little.
The waiter nodded and asked about drinks. Finn said a coke and an apple juice. The waiter looked at he looked him over. Finn noticed. he leaned on the table and took Jays hand. "What do you want to drink babe?"
Jay blinked at that. "Oh. Er…I'll just have a coke too, I guess." he replied, glancing at Finn, then up at the waiter again.
Finn smiled and sat back still holding Jay's hand as the waiter walked away. Their hands rested on the table.
Jay looked over at him, raising an eyebrow. "What was that for?" he asked curiously.
"There's no way my aunt would come in here plus we practically cuddled in school," He said rubbing his hand with his thumb.
"Okay." Jay replied. He smiled a little bit, lacing his fingers with Finn's.
He lifted his hand up and kissed it softly. "Can you play tic tac toe?" Poppy asked looking at JAy.
Jay smiled at Finn, then looked at Poppy. "Yeah, I can. Why?"
Poppy drew a messy tic tac toe sign. she smiled. "I'll be X!"
Jay smiled, picking up one of the crayons. "Alright. Who's going first?" he asked.
"X goes first!" She said writing an X in the middle.
He chuckled softly, and put an "O" in the top right corner.
Poppy put hers in the bottom right. smiling wide. Finn kept holding Jay's hand.
Jay put an "O" in the top left, smiling at Poppy and keeping his fingers laced with Finn's.
Poppy put hers at the bottom middle smiling. Finn raised an eyebrow but she smiled up at him. she got up and whispered in his ear. Finn covered his mouth with his free hand.
Jay raised his eyebrows. "Do I get to know what she's saying?" he asked Finn. He smiled, placing his next in the top middle.
Poppy smiled "You won!" She announced still on her knees. "Finn gets to play winner!" Finn leaned in.
"She let you win," He whispered smirking.
