Cato struggled, conjuring daggers and small knives and throwing them at the heroes, none of them hitting their mark. He was so distracted that he didn’t notice his hoodie slipping down a bit and revealing his tattoo

Poppy's magic failed for the 7th time in her life.

Her eyes swept over the group as a dagger flickered in her hand. Eyes wide, she noticed the tattoo. Trick of the light. Another illusion of your desperate mind. She thought to herself.

(If she uses her magic to much at once it will fail)

Phoenix made herself visible again and shot a fire blast at one of the villians. Wether it was one of the illusions or not she couldn't be sure, but she tried to conserve the power she was using.

Cato kept throwing daggers, but he knew that at some point his ability to conjure would wear out and he would fall. Desperately, he made for the exit, but was blocked by (Val if that’s ok).

Poppy touched her arm, "HEY THAT HURT!" she yelled looking at the fire super.

Phoenix shot up a wall of flame, blocking herself from some of the daggers that had been thrown. She gave a low growl, then shot a wave of flame at Poppy, seeing that Cato was being blocked off.

//yea that works

Valerie spun as someone tried to run past her. She finally got control of the magic and all either of them could seenwas darkness, a black box, something, around them.

Poppy dodged the fire running up and kicking the super in the stomach. (You choose if it hits ok)

Cato stopped, a smile creeping up his lips. “Darkness is where I operate, darling,” he said, unleashing a hail of daggers all around him. He heard no thud, and knew that somehow, his target had dodged.

((Okie dokie ^^))

Phoenix took the forceful kick to her stomach and got thrown backward. Still on the ground, she looked up with murder in her eyes. "Don't do it, it's just a trick to get you to waste power" she thought. Getting back to her feet, she conjured two walls of fire on either side of Poppy, trying to close her in.

“No pet names, please,” she said as flames spread around them. While they wouldn’t actually burn, it could hurt.

Elm was so busy trying to keep one of the villains in his air ball he didn’t realize that his shirt ripped from the back, exposing the dragon tattoo on his upper back

(Poppy's tattoo is on the left(?) side of her face so it's obvious)

“Not a pet name, darling. A category,” Cato said, conjuring a net and dropping it from where he’d heard her voice.

Poppy gladly jumped into the fire. It burned but she did it quickly enough it didn't hurt that bad.

(Who?)

//calories- Val and Cato

//and it’s not a real fire

She flinched away from the net and rolled, getting her leg stuck and quickly tugging it out. “Category. Fun. I’m a science experiment now.”

"What the-," she had just assumed she would stop as the fire boxed her in, not run through it! Anger building up, she increased the heat of her flames and tried again, this time going at her from multiple angles with the flames.

Poppy noticed the floor was weak. She punched it falling down with her hurting her head.

(she trys not to show the tattoo. She doesn't look in one place for long.)

//and it’s not a real fire

She flinched away from the net and rolled, getting her leg stuck and quickly tugging it out. “Category. Fun. I’m a science experiment now.”

“Not exactly. Categories can be used in normal life,” Cato said, glimpsing (Val) and launching another dagger. “For example, I would fall under the category of ‘Chaotic Evil’, I think, from your point of view.”

It sliced into her arm and she hissed, tearing it out. Not exactly a good plan, but it would do. She traded away the fire’s pain to cover her arm up. Don’t let him know you’re hurt. “Thanks,for the free dagger.”

“No problem. I’ve got more,” Cato said, conjuring and throwing another one.

She dodged the dagger and lunged at him with her dagger.
