Before she knew it, Phoenix was thrown to the ground, a huge pain growing in her chest. She bit down, refusing to give them the pleasure of a yelp of pain. She slowly stood, lashing out with more fire. Every time she shot out more, the pain in her chest grew. She tried to ignore it as she kept fighting.
Dylan narrowed his eyes, pulling on her legs and arms and sending her in different directions.
hearing the cry of Inferno, Pyra used some air to fly to wear fire was spinning on a rooftop.
Phoenix resisted the urge to scream, no matter how hard the throws were or how much pain she was in. A chunk of her sleeve was ripped out when she was thrown across the roof. Finally, she screamed out in rage. A wave of fire came off of her, going out in all directions.
she saw her arms and legs being pulled in different directions and immediately used a burst of water to blast the rooftop. after being satisfied that the whole rooftop was drenched, she stopped spinning and heard coughing sounds on her left.

he looked at his left to see the splitting image of himself. he lit his hands on fire and threw them at him.
Poppy saw a super and decided to distract him with a illusion of her.
Dylan felt a wave of fire and before he knew it, he was falling off the edge of the building, the cover of invisibility slipping off of him. Everything seemed to slow down as his feet slipped off the edge. The wind whistled by and suddenly, everything sped up, the ground coming into focus.

The wave of it caught him and pulled him back onto the rooftop. Phoenix stood above him, her hands raised, fire already swirling around ready to strike. "So, are you gonna surrender nicely, or do I have to do this the hard way?"
i turned and saw a girl her, hair floating behind her as the flames burned brighter and brighter. I drop my hands and stared at her, creating a ball of water to douse the flames

"The hard way," Dylan smirked, pulling on the threads of energy next to the girl's legs. She toppled over next to him and he rolled away, wincing from the burns on his legs and arms. Dylan tried to pull himself up, but immediately stumbled back to the ground, groaning in pain.

As Abai walked past a building, he noticed a fight going on. Some supers were ganging up on someone who appeared to have invisibility magic. Just as the guy toppled off the building, a super with fire magic caught him, yanking him to saftey. How odd. Fights didn't normally break out without warning. Still, the guy needed help. Abai pulled of his shirt and shifted, transforming into an eagle and flying up towards the action.

Sam ran up to Poppy, cuffing her hard on the arm. "This wasn't part of the plan! I told you to steal that serum from that greedy multimillionare, not harm innocent civilians!"

"What serum?" Poppy asked. She noticed she wasn't invisible anymore . She made the whole place look dark.
"God dang it," she muttered in pure rage as she jumped up. She went invisible, not sure how much good it would do her, but still thought to try. She ran to the other side of the rooftop, feet scuffing the edge. One wrong move was all it would take for her to fall. She held out her arms, pouring all her power into creating a fire barrier around where Dylan was still on the ground. She gritted her teeth, making the fire wall taller and hotter, so hopefully, he would think twice about trying to escape. She started to become visible again, from all the energy she was pouring into her flame.
Dylan glanced around at the fire barrier, the flames nearing and growing in heat and height. He pulled his hood lower as his grey eyes darkened, glancing around for any signs of the super. He glimpsed her figure through a few spaces in the flames and pulled on the strings of energy around her legs, forcing her to topple to the ground and loose feeling in them.
Despite falling to the ground, she kept her connection with the flame barrier strong. She closed her eyes, only focusing on that. Her breathing got more labored as more of her power was being drained. She remained on the ground, partly because of the lost feeling in her legs and partly because of how close she was to passing out. "Please just give up already" she desprately thought, knowing no such thing would happen.
"Done already, sweetheart?" Dylan called out, coughing from the smoke and heat of the flame. He tried to keep his energy focused on her legs, but his power was starting to slowly let go of its hold as black crept into his vision. The flames closed in, rubbing against his arms and legs. Hold on. Just a few more minutes.
Abai circled. Perhaps he should help. He considered it as he circled the fight, watching carefully. There was nothing monetary for him to gain from helping, but he could possibly get an ally out of the deal.

"Never," she growled. She felt the hold on her slightly loosen, and manged to raiser herself to her knees. There was nothing she could do now. She was so close to a burnout, and she couldn't get the flames any closer to the villan without killing him. Although it would just be easier to get rid of him, she had made a vow when her parents died to never kill anybody. She looked around for another super, trying to get their attenion so they could call the authorities. Until something else happened, they were at a draw.
