He scratched the back of his neck, smiling a bit. "Yeah. I guess it wouldn't hurt to get to know my soulmate."

She smiled. She offered him her hand. She turned her head to her friend Elijah. "I'll call you later." She looked back at her soulmate. "I'm Alexis by the way."
"I'm Cade," he said, shaking her hand.
She smiled. She started walking, making sure to avoid the ducks. She glared at them as she passed them.
He saw Alexis's glare and chuckled, leading her away from them.
Elijah ran after them quickly and pulled Cade aside. "If you hurt her, I'll kill you." He hissed in his ear before smiling at Alexis and turning around to go. He walked back towards his apartment and towards his car, ignoring the sick feeling in his stomach. He was happy that Alexis found her soulmate, and even if he was particularly sure that he wanted one, it still stung that he didn't know "the one".
Cade froze, watching Elijah walk away. He wasn't sure how to react to that, so he just stayed frozen and silent.
Alexis waited for them to finish. She waved goodbye to her friend. She had to make sure she called him when she got home. And see him tomorrow. They obviously had somethings to talk about. She walked over to Cade and gently took his hand. "Elijah is just a friend. More like one of my only friends. He's just protective of me, that's all."
Elijah drove to the studio he was recording in, softly singing a Steven Universe tune the whole way.
"It all became so lovely
Those blue skies above me
Those funny feelings I had never felt before I met you
I thought I'd stay a while
I tried to learn to smile
So many colors I had never even known
Maybe I'll find myself sitting on that distant shore
Maybe I'm not alone
Then I see the colors fading
Gentleness of light escaping
Shadows of my fear invading, have I seen this all before?
I know that there's something residing
A terror deep inside me
I couldn't understand how you could be so bold
Maybe I'll find myself smiling on that distant shore
Maybe I'm not alone~"
He sang, finally pulling up at the studio.
He nodded, breaking out of his shocked terror and looking down at her. "I see."
She smiled and stood on her tip toes to kiss his cheek. "He just needs time to get used to use you. Everything will be fine, promise."
Cade raised his eyebrows in surprise. His cheek felt warm where Alexis had kissed her, but he felt… nervous. He squeezed her hand gently.
She smiled. She bit her lip slightly and turned away, starting to walk again. It difference is that she held onto his hand this time.
"So uh… what do you want to talk about?"
"What do you like to do for fun?" She asked

"Design and play video games," he answered quickly, eyes lighting up. "I design some and sell them online. It's fun, and it makes me a decent amount of money." Cade looked over at Alexis. "What about you?"
“Sorry, I-“ he was cut off by his wrist being grabbed. “What are y- oh. *Oh.” He stared at the tattoos, a barrage of emotions flying through his mind.
Chester stared at the tattooes. “They… match.” Chester said breathlessly, his cheeks turning pink.
She smiled. "I paint. And sketch sometimes, but mostly paint. Most of my paintings are about nature, because so feel like I connect with it easier."
“That means you-“ he cut his sentence off. I was not prepared for this.
“Nice to meet you, Soulmate.” Chester grinned.
He flushed red and started stammering something. God, what do I do? What do I do?
"Do you think you could show me some of your paintings sometime?"
She blushed. "Yeah, sure. I'd love too. As long as you show me your game designs and stuff."
He smiled. "I'm working on one right now. It's called 'senseless'. That game is the biggest project I've ever done, I've been working on it alone for about two years."
She smiled. "What's it about?" She asked curiously.
He flushed red and started stammering something. God, what do I do? What do I do?
“Wanna get some coffee?” Chester smirked, leaning on the window of the wall.
(Lol, srry I have a speech due today…)
Estel looked down to her crimson watch, checking the time. "Shoot! I forgot I need to go see the doves!" She exclaimed, "You want to come?" Gathering herself, she stood, watching the seconds tick by. She had promised herself to watch the doves that day, more inspiration, maybe she could write a poem. She could take a couple feathers, use the colours of the doves. Use the symbol of the doves, Peace.
“U-uh, sure, I… guess,” he stuttered. Stop smirking, you smug bastard.
