"I think I can manage." Enyln smiled and pulled herself up nest she could. It looked awkward her pulling herself up sideways then wiggling to sit better, "need help?" She asked laughing at herself slightly.

“I don’t think so…” Rigel said, and prayed that he wouldn’t fall off as he hoisted himself up. He felt sloppy and sluggish, and suddenly the world was tilting and he would fell if his arm didn’t hook around Enyln’s waist the last moment. He immediately let go after he righted himself, turning red, “Sorry…”

Enyln felt her face go red hot, "no its alright. As long as you don't fall." She mumbled sheepishly. "Plus, you're really out of it of it right now." She shrugged slightly with a laugh, "now! How do I get Meria going?" Her knowledge of horses where still slightly limited.

“You, um, use your heel. Kick her in the sides, but make sure to hold on tightly to her neck,” Rigel explain, trying to get into the best position where he wouldn’t fall without needing to wrap his arms around Enyln. He coughed again, and to his shame he almost fell off again.

"Hold on!" Enyln grinned. kicking the horse in the side a bit to hard and sending it galping. Enyln gripped the mane of the horse and leaned forward a bit, "this is awesome!"

Rigel was glued to Enyln’s waist as soon as Meria started off, a quick wave of nausea washing over him, but he swallowed it and his grip tightened around Vash’s waist a little as he mumbled, “Turn left a little bit, tug lightly on the left side of her mane.”

Enyln tugged slightly to get Meria to turn, "whi knew riding a horse could be this much fun." Enyln let out a laugh of satisfaction then quickly remembered the shape Rigel was in. She pulled back slightly to get Meria to slow down and apologized, "sorry. You alright back there?"

“I’m fine,” Rigel mumbled, but his grip tightened around Enyln’s waist as he coughed over his shoulder. A shudder went through him, another wave of nausea attacking. He tensed, squishing his eyes shut and forced it to pass, holding in the contents of his stomach.

"Are you sure?" Enyln pulled the horse to a slow trot. "We could take a brake if you need?" She looked over her shoulder at him, worry etched into her face.

“We’ve barely moved, I’ll be fine,” Rigel promised, and took a deep breath, closing his eyes, “Do you mind if I lean on you?” He felt tired, but they couldn’t afford to stop. Not while Vincent was close by, Rigel couldn’t take that chance.

Enyln shrugged, "sure." Her voice was slightly high-pitched and her face was a light shade of pink. why am I so embarrassed? she shook her head at herself.

Rigel’s head slowly came to rest on Vash’s shoulder. He felt so hot, but… Rigel couldn’t do anything about it. He just hoped he could make it to Oaradis whpithout experiencing any of the other side effects, like hallucinations. He quietly asked Vash, “How long does it take for the other symptoms to start up?”

Enyln's stiffened at his question, "a- a few weeks." She said her voice shaking. Maybe it was the reality of it sinking in. Or perhaps the fact that his question caught her off guard, Long before she could close that door on her emotions.

“Then we have to find Paradis by then,” Rigel said quietly, his arms subconsciously tightening around Enyln’s waist. I just have to make sure she’s safe, away from Vincent, away from the monstrous world.

"Right." Enyln let out a shallow breath. get to safety. Get him to safety. Enyln forced a smile, "you're gonna be okay." She said under her breath. "We'll get there. I promise."

“I trust you,” Rigel whispered quietly to Enyln, the kicked Meria’s side with his own foot, “Now we got time to make up.” Meria started off in a light run, slowing increasing in speed. Rigel made sure he wouldn’t fall off as they ran into the distance.

Rigel slowly woke from sleep with a furious fit of coughing. He was a lot paler and significantly more skinny. Rigel blinked furiously, trying to clear his vision. There was dark blood sitting on his hand, and it took him a second to realize he had yet another bloody nose. He started coughing again, a dizzy feeling overtaking him. “Enyln? Enyln?” Rigel called in a panic, staring at the ground. It looked like water, as if it was rippling and moving beneath him.

Enyln jerked her head up from her half sleep. Something she'd developed to be able to keep watch and still get some rest. "Rigel, what's wrong?" Worry became a part of her. Something that'd always show in her eyes even when she hid it from her face.

“The ground is moving, Enyln, I’m scared,” Rigel voice was laced with panic as he tried to find something to hold onto, something to ground himself. It’s not real, it’s not real, it’s not real- Rigel let out a tiny, fearful noise, hands shaking as he reached out.

"Rigel its fine. Everything's fine. Calm down." Enyln's hands shot out to grab his. "See?" She asked trying to give him a reassuring smile.

Rigel stared into her eyes, his frantic breath slowly returning to normal as the world slowly stopped moving. It’s fine. “Enyln,” He croaked out, and without thinking he pulled her close into a hug, arms tense, “Enyln, you’re real.” Just needing to hold her, to make sure she was real, something was real.

"Yes, I'm real." Enyln let her arms fall around Rigel returning the hug. She squeezed her eyes shut to keep in the tears. It was happening. She was losing him. Watching him die. "I love you." She whispered.

“I love you too,” Rigel immediately replied, trying to calm his nerves. Real. Real. Real. His pulse slowly dropped back to normal, and he could finally see straight, but he didn’t leave the hug just yet. Rigel felt selfish about it, but… He took a shuddering breath, then forced himself to pull away. He looked around to double check the tree were still there, Meria was still sitting near a tree, a rope they found earlier tying the horse so she didn’t leave in the night. But it was all there. All real. Rigel let his shoulder relaxed, tilting his head up to the sky, “We have to get to Paradis soon.” Before I stop functioning entirely and Enyln won’t be able to make it to safety.

"Yeah." Enyln mumbled. It pained her to see him like this. To see him slowly dying. To see his with tunnel vision. She stood turnning so he couldn't she her face and swiped the backs of her hands at her eyes. its fine. Everything's gonna be fine. she tried to reassure herself but some how only made it worse. "Shall we get going then?"

“Yeah. Yeah, we should go,” Rigel said quietly. Get Enyln somewhere safe, then I can give up. He slowly stood, wobbling a little on his feet. He blinked, as if double checking he wasn’t still hallucinating. Because that’s how far it’s gotten, I’m hallucinating now.

(Do you have lots of plans still? Cuz I wanted to be Satan and murder Enyln just before they get to safety. But if you have plans still I won't do it. Not yet at least.)
