"That- that sounds rough, " said frost in surprise, His heart is in the right spot, but i cant let the Ice-blaze Pegasus fall into the wrong hands…. she thought, her heart sinking in dismay…
Ryker shrugged "We are used to it..but things are getting worse." He sighed and shook his head.
Frost looked at him questioningly, but she didnt say anything.
Ryker closed his eyes and went silent.
Frost watched the forest around them letting her consciousness sink into her environment, she focused on the birdsong around her, hoping to drive away silence, hoping to drive away the memories she knew would come. her efforts worked… for a little while. but then in the shadows of the trees above her she saw it. Frost knew full well it was only a figment of her imagination, a ghost from 2 yrs ago, but terror swept through her anyway. she couldnt look away as the shadows seemed to come to life, and a pair of glowing red eyes came towards her, Frost tried to move but she couldnt, she tried to call to Ryker to wake him, to get him to do anything! She just needed this nightmare to stop…. the shadows enveloped her and she heard the cries, cries of her younger cousins fear and the agony of the other, Her uncles cries of anger, and her mothers of fear. the sounds of her family's whips of aura, and the roar of her uncles power then she heard it again, her own screams as she grasped the blade that saved them, and had nearly killed her uncle. then she felt it, real pain, as something in her pack hummed, trying to break free.
Ryker woke up quickly, his eyes wide as he looked at Frost, "Frost..?" He whispered.
Frost stood frozen staring into the trees, staring into the eyes of the horrible monster that terrorized her family,
(Btw this is a hallucination from her memories of something that happened 2 yrs ago when she was 14, also we are not on her world we are someplace else otherwise this wouldnt be happening.)

Ryker touched Frost on the shoulder lightly, "Frost?" He whispered again.
frost jerked, the illusions vanishing. she stared at him before hugging him and collapsing in tears.
Ryker went stiff before quickly hugging her back, trying to comfort her.
frost whimpered through tears trying to quell her fear. "tha-thank you…." she said shakily.
"It's fine, you'll be ok," He wrapped his arms protectively around her and hummed lightly to her.
frost buried her face in his chest trying to calm down and failed miserably as the tears kept coming.
Ryker rested his chin on the top of her head, leaning back on a branch and rocking her lightly "Shhh…It'll be ok, I'm here." he whispered to her.
It was a long while before frost was finally calm, but she didnt bother moving, still scared that the illusions would return.
Ryker fell asleep after a while, keeping his arms around her. His breathing was slow and even.
Frost eventually dozed off as well, too emotionally tired to try and stay awake.
He smiled softly as he slept, the sun slowly going down.
Frost woke suddenly as she heard the announcements of the evening, she didnt pull away from Ryker but rather she nestled into him not wanting to face the world.
He woke up also "What are they saying..?" He asked softly, opening his eyes slowly.
"15 more contestants have been eliminated," she murmured "and 15 more remain."
"Ok," Ryker said softly, closing his eyes and wrapping his arms tighter around her.
Frost smiled as she let him grasp her tighter, letting her body sink into his,
"Are you ok now?" He asked, humming lightly as he sighed.
"Yeah…." she said not wanting to remember what happened.. as the memory flowed over her. "yeah im ok… Thank you,"
"No problem," He said, slowly falling asleep again.
Frost sighed and after awhile she too let herself sink into sleep.
