“Anyways..” Vaughn started after a short moment of thought. “Do we know how many of these stones are left? It could be bad if some random person comes across one.”
Kaz shrugged. "Dunno. I just got here like yesterday, so I'm still trying to figure out what kinda crack trip we're all on," he said with a small laugh

"No idea," Avery said with a shrug. "But I wonder if your…experiance…last night, Kaz, was related to them."

“That seems likely. It did happen after he touched that mystery rock,” Vaughn added with a nod, taking a sip of his coffee afterwards.
"Yep. At least Kaon shut up for now," Kaz said, shrugging before leaning back against the counter

"Well, now we just have to figure out which one it was. That shouldn't hard at all," Avery said, tapping her right index finger on the tabletop.

“A robot lives in this place, so there might be a lab, right? Maybe we can safely move the stone there to examine it better,” Vaughn suggested.

Avery nodded slowly. "Yeah, that sounds like a good idea."

“I think our only problem would be how to actually move the stone in the first place,” Vaughn huffed, running a hand through his longer section of hair. “We already saw what it could do to someone- this thing is dangerous.”
"I could make an electrical field around it," Kaz offered with a shrug. "Wouldn't be that difficult to do. Then we can move it safely."

"If you're sure that would be safe, then I don't see why not," Avery said with a shrug.

“As long as it’s safe,” Vaughn echoed with a nod, fidgeting with the sleeves of his suit jacket. Of course he was going to be overly concerned about Kaz’s safety, he was his boyfriend for Christsake.

Kaz put a hand over his pocket, violet electricity crackling across his fingertips. He drew the stone out in a ball of electricity, frowning slightly in concentration as he did so

Avery gaped at Kaz, watching him take the stone out of his pocket.
"You just had it in your pocket this entire time?!?" she exclaimed. "How did you think that was safe?"
Kaz shrugged. "Dunno. Seemed like the logical place to put it at the time."

“You could have hurt yourself!” Vaughn added, his voice laced with very obvious concern.

"That…was really stupid…" Avery sighed, digging the heel of her hand into her forehead. "Okay, well, moving past that, let's find a lab or something, yeah?"
"Sounds good," Kaz answered, his tone chipper despite everyone's obvious concern. He thought it was sort of funny, really, but he wasn't going to comment on that

“Maybe there’s a basement or something that has a lab,” Vaughn said, setting his mug in the sink and making a mental note to wash it later on.
