Superhero RP with a twist
(ok see you later)
Alice gingerly approached the bed. The blood was fresh but at least an hour old. She searched the room, apprehension blooming inside of her. She looked out into the hallway: everything was normal. Wouldn't someone have noticed this by now? The machines were still on as well, wires trailing on the floor and an IV drip stood near the wall. Riley obviously hadn't been moved easily, whether she had been fighting back or too weak to move. Either way, she was in danger.
"Evera, we have to find Riley. Something's not right with this…" she murmured to her new friend, who was checking the unconscious nurse on the floor.
Racing through the hospital parking lot, Leonard darted up to the front entrance and through his bike on the ground. Dashing inside, he pulled out the piece of paper from his pocket, on it listed the people that had been shot. 'I have to find these people,' he thought as he walked up to the front desk, 'they might have a clue about these shootings, maybe they even saw something before they were shot.'
Looking up at the lady that was messing with the computer, he asked, "Miss, uh, which room is Mister Long staying in?"
"That will be room 1343, you first-"
"thanks!" I said quickly, darting off before she could continue.
Parking the car at the edge of an alleyway, Xavier watched as the police stalked around the area. This was where the shooting had taken place, and it was not that hard to tell 'No' shooting had taken place here. There were large bullet holes in the brick walls and some splatters of blood on the ground. 'This shooting was more gruesome then I expected.' Xavier thought as he looked at the chalk outlining of a person body.
Evera's hands shook. "God…this is all my fault." Her voice wavered. "I have to find Riley. I have to –I…" Tears ran down her face as she shakily reached out and took Riley's phone off the bed. It was dead.
Alice cautiously approached Evera and sat her down on the floor. She pulled her into tight hug and let her cry until the worst had passed.
Evera calmed herself, taking a few deep breaths until she felt half way alright. Pulling away, she looked at Alice. "I'm sorry I've dragged you into this. You've been amazing. You don't have to…" she didn't finish, and could only hope Alice knew what she meant.
Alice shook her head firmly. "I'm not going anywhere." She helped Evera up and dusted herself off. "Now, let's find Riley."
"Right." Evera sniffles, drying her face with the sleeve of her sweater. "I guess the first thing to do is report this to the police. Then I'll charge her phone. Maybe they left it for a reason?"
Alice bit her lip. "Not the police. It's too public." She hadn't asked in a long time. She wasn't sure if he'd be willing.
"Well who?" Evera asked desperately. "We can't do this alone."
Alice groaned. "I know someone who can help." She stationed herself behind Eve and pushed her along and out of the door. "You have the phone and the room number?"
"Y-yeah. Who are you talking about?" Evera demanded, trying to keep up with Alice's frantic pace.
"…an old friend." The girls exited the hospital and raced past 2 blocks until they stopped at an adorable little house, with a flowering garden and freshly painted window frames. Alice gingerly walked up the few steps and knocked. The door took a few minutes to open. The man's face fell when he saw her.
"Allie." he breathed raggedly. "What do you want this time?"
Evera glanced between the two. There was definitely history between them. The tension was so thick, she could cut it with a knife. She wanted to say something, but swallowed hard instead. She wasn't sure what to say.
“Officer,” Xavier said as he walked up to a police that was looking at a file, “have you found any evidence about where the criminal what shooting from?””
Alice tucked her hair and looked up at Lukas. "She needs a favour," Alice said, nodding her head at Evera. "A loved one to be found." She discreetly motioned to Evera to introduce.
"R-right," Evera managed. "Um, Dr. Evera Chung. I'm looking for someone named Riley Thomas. She was shot and then stolen from her hospital bed." Tears swelled in her eyes again, but she blinked them back. "Can you help me?"
Jacob stared at the girl with tears in her eyes. "Dr. Chung, follow me," he said. He then pointed at Alice. "You. Stay in the living room."
"O-okay." Evera followed him, locking eyes with Alice one last time before they left the room. Who was this guy? She wanted to ask, but honestly, she was intimidated.
Alice shrugged and closed the door behind her. In a completely familiar movement, she reached to the left and switched on the lights.

Lukas put a hand on Dr. Chung's arm. "Lukas Schuyler."
"Mr. Schuyler, uh, nice to meet you," Evera said, trying to smile.
He nodded dryly at her. They got to the end of the hallway and he pushed open the last door. It swung open onto a dark room filled with screens and files. "Roanne Thomas, was it?"
"Err, Riley Thomas," she corrected gently, resisting the urge to just agree with everything he said. "What…is all this?"
"Yes, Riley, of course." He sat at the nearest computer. "This is my workshop of sorts." In seven clicks, he had already pulled up a profile of a completely unfamiliar face. "This the one?" he asked distractedly.
Evera's breath caught in her throat. Riley's full smile shone at her, her dark eyes twinkling. "That's her," she said faintly.
He turned to look at Dr. Chung, eyes narrowed. It had been a long time he had heard love like that in a voice. "Very well," he murmured. He turned back to the screen and clicked on the profile.
Evera waited anxiously, her hands wringing as Lukas clicked on the profile. "Well?" She asked.
"Alive, but no tracker." He minimized hers and looked through recent criminal activity. "There a few recently active organizations that capture weaker people…"
