Charlotte had been sitting alone in the living room, empty bottle in hand, when the lights went out. She reached into her pocket to take out her phone for light: no wifi either. She slowly stood up and stumbled outside to check if any lights were on..
"Guys?" she called out, noticing a group sat in the yard.

(So, I just noticed that I've been putting 'Corvin' down instead of 'Corban' again. I've fixed each of the wrong posts. :[] )

Corban turns around at the uncertain greeting of a girl's voice near the porch. "Hey, join the party." He calls back.

@amber_is_in_a_loop

Charlotte cautiously walks down to them. "You guys know what happened?" She sits next to the guy who answered. She's pretty sure his name was Corban, but decides not to call him by name just in case.

language
@Peter_Duende language

Corban shakes his head. He tries to place the girl, although it's dark and he can't determine quite what she looks like, and after a moment he's sure he has at least a few classes with this her. Candice? No. Shirley?
After a second he realizes she probably couldn't see him nonverbally affirm the negative, so he says, "No." Scrambling for a positive note, he lamely adds. "Hopefully it doesn't last too long."

@amber_is_in_a_loop

Charlotte nods slowly. "Yeah. Fingers crossed." She looked out past the street, a little farther into town. "Big area to have gone down, though."

language
@Peter_Duende language

Corban nods. "It's as far as I can see." He absently pulls his phone out of his pocket, but puts it back immediately. "It sucks that our phones don't work, though. We can't fin out what's going on…not online at least."

@amber_is_in_a_loop

"Have you guys seen anyone in the streets? Maybe someone along here knows something?" She looked up and down the street again, finding nothing but darkness. "Surprised panic hasn't started yet."

language
@Peter_Duende language

"I haven't seen anyone." Corban looks down the street, too, but also sees nothing. "I don't think the paranoid mobs would've formed yet," he jokes, and then says seriously. "But I'm surprised the police aren't out and about."
A sudden thought. "Man, the cars must be out, too!"

@amber_is_in_a_loop

Charlotte looked back at him, surprised. "You think? That'd be a pretty bad outage, especially for a big city." She paused, thinking. "That would… If it's citywide, that'd cut us off completely…" She looked up, worry starting to settle. She suddenly jumped to her feet and pointed at the sky. "What is that?"

(Remember, @♥️.The.Girl.Who.Is♥️ is going to be initiating each of the Waves.)

@amber_is_in_a_loop

(yes yes)
"Is that… it looks like a plane. Please tell me it isn't a plane." Charlotte ripped the elastic out of her har to tie it back up again. A nervous habit.
(does she control other events? I consider 'events' as falling planes)

language
@Peter_Duende language

(I thought you were doing something else.)

Corban looks sharply up, his eyes widen and he stumbles back but doesn't fall. A dark shape is falling like lead through the sky, growing larger. "I-I……" No, please, no. "It is."

@amber_is_in_a_loop

"Oh," Charlotte breathes. "Oh>" She covers her mouth with her hand, breathing deeply. "This is just the start, isn't it?" she said quietly, looking back down.

(Notebook.ai is shlow today…..again. sigh Asking for a perfect website is just too far, though.)

Corban frowns at her odd comment, but continues to stare at the plane. It's nose occasionally points away from the ground-someone is clearly trying to pilot the thing through gliding-but it's still making a dangerous, rapid descent.

@amber_is_in_a_loop

(Yeah, it keeps 'Error'ing me)
She stares up at the sky at Corban's side, hoping it'll suddenly stabilise. But it just keeps falling, faster and faster. All she can imagine s being on it, freefalling while you have no choice but to stay strapped down and pray.

@CWTurtleOfFreedom

Victoria pressed a fist to her mouth, her eyes filling with tears. “Oh my God.” She sent up a silent prayer for the people in the plane, though she doubted that any god was listening; this wouldn’t be happening otherwise.

@amber_is_in_a_loop

Charlotte heard the girl behind her, thinking she recognised the voice. Without turning away, she clled over her shoulder: "It's Victoria, isn't it?"

@CWTurtleOfFreedom

Victoria nodded wordlessly, and then, realizing that it was dark, said in her usual tone, “Yep. And you’re….” Um… Carys…. no….. Charlotte! “Charlotte, right?”

language
@Peter_Duende language

Corban looks wildly about, then back up to the plane. "I don't think it's going to this street…maybe the next few over. But we've gotta' warn people." He looks back to the dark house and then back to his group. "Guys, we need to split up and go warn everyone on the next few streets, now. The pilot is going to lose total control at any moment."

@amber_is_in_a_loop

"Yeah, it is," Charlotte said to Victoria, then turned to face Corban. "You're right. I'll take the far side." She wrung her hands together nervously, turning the words over in her head. "Ma'am, there's a plane falling out of the sky and everyone's got to leave. Here goes." She started off down the street but stopped a moment to ask the others:
"Meet back here when we're done?"

@CWTurtleOfFreedom

“Yeah,” Victoria said, already running towards the middle section. “If we’re all still alive.”

language
@Peter_Duende language

Corban shouts in the affirmative and dashes down the street, turning onto another block. He's almost instantly out of breath from the fear combined with a spur-of-the-moment run, but he pushes himself to not stop until he reaches the end of this street. Upon the first house he reaches he sees faintly sees several people in the front yard.

"Hey, get out of here. Look!" His words are disjointed, but the people, probably already looking at the descending plane, scatter, some getting away, others joining in on helping Corban clear the street.

@CWTurtleOfFreedom

Victoria ran down the street, yelling about the plane. She picked up small children whose mothers or fathers couln’t carry and ran them out of the impact zone, always coming back for another.

@amber_is_in_a_loop

Charlotte takes off down the street, slowing down only once she reaches the truly residential area. "Winona Drive! Adults come out into the street!" She moved along the street, yelling as she went. Once enough people were in her field of vision, she pointed up at the sky. The reaction was imminent.

@CWTurtleOfFreedom

Victoria stood at the end of the street, glancing around frantically. The street was deserted— everyone was standing out of range of the plane, clutching loved ones and belongings.

language
@Peter_Duende language

Corban glances up just as the plane tilts to one side, losing several hundred feet of altitude in the movement. He hears a scream from the fleeing people, and runs in that direction. He and others had banged on each and every front door. Only one hadn't been opened, and that had been one with no vehicles in the parking lot. Praying that the house is actually empty, Corban stands among the people a far distance from the cleared streets as the plane free falls.
