Corban lets her step inside, shutting the door behind her. The instant coolness of the house is a shock at first. "Mom, got a friend over."
His mother goes to the kitchen door, drying her sudsy hands on a towel. She nods to their guest. "Augustine."

Augustine made herself comfortable with Corban in the living room, flopping back onto the couch with a sigh of exhaustion. "So, I heard there was a party tonight. Who all is going?"

"Uh," Corban leans back on the couch, thinking for a moment. "Uh, well, Jade Carlyle is going to be there seeing as she's hostess and all that. Toby Clackson, Zach….really most of the kids from class if I'm right…."
Brendon drove his 1963 Corvette Sting Ray into an auto repair shop (Victoria’s) hoping to get his breaks repaired. “Anyone in here?” He questioned as he hopped out of his car and walked around another.

“Here,” Victoria said, walking out into the garage and wiping her greasy hands on her jeans. “Can I help you?”

Looking up from around the car he smiles. “Hi, yeah. My breaks are stuck. I uaually work on her myself, but I just couldn’t fix her and I’ve heard your the best in town.” He explained.
“Damn you, Marcus,” Victoria muttered. “Well, I can fix her. But it might take a few days, I’m pretty backlogged right now.”
“Thats alright. As long as she’s in good hands while she’s here I'm okay with that.” He nods. Chuckling he adds, “Who’s Marcus?”
“A guy who used to work for me. It became… more, and we have to stay professional, so I fired him,” Victoria laughed slightly. “He was fine with it. Said that if he couldn’t work for me, he’d at least advertise.”
“Well, I hope his pitch is correct. I’m entrusting you with my baby right here.” He laughed. “How much will it be?”
“I’ll have to take a look super fast and give you an estimate. Most likely one fifty-ish,” Victoria said.
“Sounds good.” Brenden nodded as he leaned against the wall and gave her space to walk to his car.
Victoria looked (wherever you look for brakes) and nodded. “Yeah, probably somewhere around two hundred.”
“Awesome, thanks.” He waved a good bye and started walking off. Figuring that he’d be able to walk for the next few days, he didn’t bother getting a rental car and walked straight home to get ready for the party tonight.
