"Be back in 5," Cicada left the room. As soon as she did her senses tingled again. She sighed and decided to wait in the hallway instead of going to her room.
(That conversation was so good omg Kameo and Cicada have such a weird but good friendship)
There was a file on the desk. Kameo picked it up. Ace's file. His breath caught and he flipped through it, tears stinging his face.
(I guess yeah.)
There were pictures. Of Ace's beautiful face and eyes and skin and the small scar on his chin that was so cute for no reason at all.

Leah opened a bottle of whiskey, telling herself she shouldn't drink, but she didn't listen. As she started to take a sip from it, almost all the memories of her brothers and Caspian on the Ghost ship faded. It didn't fix anything, but it made it easier to forget.

Cicada relaxed for a moment. Then she had an idea she quickly ran around trying to find the materials she needed. Kameo lost his leg. What was it that we used when Zanna lost hers? Oh right this!
Kameo folded the file and placed it back onto the table. He buried his face in his hands and laid down on the bed, tired. He was tired of people dying. He was tired of his problems. He was tired of the messed up world. He was tired of living. Those poisons were starting to look awfully good right now.
