"Of course. Since you have quite the brain, maybe a job below decks?" Leah proposed, leaning against the side of the boat as she looked towards Sole, humming in thought. Should Daso be back by now?
The Andromeda (Pirate RP//closed)
(on my phone, so sorry in advance for the sub par response)
"Sounds ideal," Dara agreed in a clipped tone. She yawned, glancing towards the sun. It was nearly sunset and Daso still hadn't returned. Despite herself, she was kind of worried about him. She pushed the concern aside.

"Should we go and check on him?" Leah asked after a few long pauses, glancing over at Dara as she motioned towards the now setting sun. It seemed a bit concerning that they weren't back by now, but she would give Daso his time to cope, even if it took the whole day.
Dara was beginning to have her own set of doubts. What if the idiot had gone to visit their father, despite her warnings? Their last two meetings had been violent and counterproductive, and their father was even worse now. Daso was the type to willingly march into danger if his heart was in it, and that made him so incredibly stupid. She was getting mad just thinking about it, but she tried not to show it. She pursed her lips again, sniffling, "If you want to. I'm sure he's fine."
Daso approached their house with evident trepidation. The house was just as he remembered it –old, brick, large, and unwelcoming. He walked up the steps to their porch and rung the door bell after only a few moments of hesitation. His hands were shaking, but he'd come too far to stop now. He had to see this through.
Their housekeeper answered the door. She was half-blind and didn't give a shit about the family she took care of. Daso figured she didn't recognize him, or if she did, she just didn't care. She nodded at him and let him in, mumbling something about fetching the master of the house. Daso followed her into the house, his boots clicking against the echo-y wood floors.
His eyes turned towards the stairs. His room was to the left just as you reached the top. It always felt like a prison to him. He turned his gaze towards the piano, where Dara had sat agonizing hours learning to play songs she didn't care about, while he sang along to make her feel better.
Shut up, she'd say through her teeth, missing a note or two. He'd only sing louder, louder and louder until he finally made her laugh.
He shook those thoughts away as footsteps suddenly approached. He stiffened, his eyes on his father. His father stood tall, wearing his priestly robes, his eyes ringed with the blackness of sleep deprivation. "Daso," he greeted, his words making the air seem even colder.
Daso suddenly felt he'd made a huge, colossal mistake.
Leah released a small breathe as she played with the small silver bangle around her wrist that used to belong to her father. It usually provided her some sort of comfort, though at the moment, all she could think about was if Daso was alright. What if he got into some trouble? What is his father had found him? "We can check soon with a few more crew members. Just to make sure it's safe," she finally said, nodding her head as if to console herself with the idea.
"Sounds like a plan," Dara agreed, looking around. The deck was oddly quiet. "Where are the rest of the crew members, anyway?"
