Kameo's face lit up, "A plague? A challenge! I need a sick person's DNA, stat!"

"They call it The Reaper. It's almost unstoppable. . . killing people in almost four days time." She continued. "Mostly kids are surviving."

"Interesting." Kameo leaned closer, "Tell me more."

Joanna gripped her cup between her hands, trying to keep her hands from shaking. Divo was where she had grown up. Had Old Man Pablo caught it? Tressa? Cassius?

"It rots the flesh like your poison and it's airborne. Virtually unstoppable and no one has developed a cure." Leah explained. "The monarchy believes that it's been coming from the other kingdom's and they have decided to begin a war. It's happened quite quickly."

"Wow." Kameo breathed, "That sounds like a challenge for my skills. I bet that I can make an antidote in a five days if I work around the clock." he looked over at Joanna, "You okay, Jo-Jo?"

"We need to stay out of those sectors. . . and watch the sea," Leah said, brushing a strand of hair out of her face. "There may be some enemy ships."

"Can I have a sick person if we go to Divo?" Kameo asked, fidgeting with his gloves.

Daso made a face. "'Have a sick person.' Sounds like you're asking for a puppy."

"But it's for a good cause." he stood up, "To save the sick and stop a potential war. Let's stop at Divo, Cap?"

"Wow." Kameo breathed, "That sounds like a challenge for my skills. I bet that I can make an antidote in a five days if I work around the clock." he looked over at Joanna, "You okay, Jo-Jo?"

Joanna nodded. "Yes, it's just, I grew in Divo, and I have friends there. Good friends I haven't seen in a good long while."

"That sucks." Kameo leaned against the table, "I promise that I'll figure out the antidote even if it kills me."

"We'll stop in Divo. The Queen and King have decided to send a fleet of Inquisitors to each sector, so we'll need to act like normal sailors and merchants." Leah explained.

( I feel like when Leah first met Daso she completely hated him because he was a stowaway, but half the crew wanted to keep him. . . so she did )

He nodded and shot a look at Captain. "You're staying on the ship. All of you. I'm going alone."

"You're not going alone anywhere. If you get caught, you're dead." Leah countered.

"Yes I am, you guys aren't dying on me. I've had enough of that." Kameo's face darkened. "Stay. On. The. Ship."

"I. Am. Your. Captain." Leah responded, calmly. "I do not want you to die either."

"Fight me." he leaned in, glaring.

"You're not going alone." Leah said, her green eyes narrowing.
